VOICES ALIVE FOUNDATION (Registered Charity Number: 1189776)
Preventing Childhood Sexual Abuse.
WHO WE ARE
Voices Alive Foundation is a registered charity in England, working with victims and survivors of childhood sexual abuse in the United Kingdom and Nigeria. Our range of services work with people of all ages, all genders of sexual abuse, as well as supports for their partners and families. We are committed to working with people irrespective of ethnicity, race, sexual orientation or disability. Our charity and board of trustee are specially made up of social workers, fitness instructor and IT professional.
The charity was established in the UK in June 2021. It was founded out of our need to prevent childhood sexual abuse and in helping others affected. Our charity is a ground root organisation based on a survivor’s experience.
OUR CORE BELIEF
We believe that sexual abuse of children is wrong and that no child should be sexually exploited in any way. Our central aim is to see that society takes total responsibility for ending childhood sexual abuse.
OUR MISSION
At Voices Alive Foundation, we aim to preserve and protect the physical and mental health of children and adults impacted by childhood sexual abuse (CSA) through a support group, counselling, seminars, education programs and workshops.
Since it’s foundation last year, we’ve come across so many lives that are affected by this social problem and their struggle to break free due to so many factors. We’ve done so many direct work with inviduals which has helped us impact positively on the lives of many seeking to find their way out of this misery; especially those from African and Carribean community with very little knowledge about the impacts of child sexual abuse and its prevention.

We’ve had programs and direct work since the pandemic as it’s needful in safeguarding children and familes. Though we had received no funding at start, our charity organised a workshop on the 5[th] of September 2020 to engage children and young people, parents and caregivers on the ‘’impacts of Covid-19 on Child Abuse and Children’s Welfare.’’ It was free tickets on ‘’Eventbrite.’’ We created this event as a response to the on-going nation lockdown that demanded schools and other institutions to close, forcing children and young
people to remain at home with no other outlets. We educated them on staying safe and strengthening their welfare. Since our first program in September 2020, we have held counselling and individual sessions to continue to work in this area.
This is our year report and set of accounts covering 4[th] June 2020 – 21[st] December 2020. Because it’s a new charity, we received a grant from our local authority to help us purchase charity equipment and fund other administrative purposes.
FINANCE REPORTS
The Charity Trustees received no remuneration for their work. Grant from the local authority between 4[th] June 2020 to 21[st] December 2020 was £1154.41. Expenditure for the year was £1050.
Declarations
The trustees declare that they have approved the trustees’ report above.
