## **Activity during 2021-22**
## **Structure**
The charity registered as a CIO on 3rd June 2020 (previously a registered charity). Trustees for the financial year are listed on the previous page.
## **Achievements and Performance of Trust**
The Club has increased from 250 members to 430 with teams increasing from 21 to 42 providing association football to all.
We continue to be a Central Venue for Mini Soccer and Pinpoint Recruitment League have operated their Saturday league from our venue.
Teams taking part in regular football range from 4 (Academy) to 17 and we now host walking football, have a Senior Team and Over 40’s.
We have again renewed and maintained the Charter Standard with Northumberland Football Association. Our 3G pitch continues to be successful and this year we completed the works for our newly refurbished clubhouse.

Charity Law requires the Trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which comply with the regulations set out in the Charities Act 1993.

## **Report to the trustees of Killingworth Young Peoples Club**
## **On accounts for the year ended**
## **31 May 2022 Charity no 1189769**
**Respective** The trustees of the organisation are responsible for the preparation of **responsibilities of** accounts; they consider that an audit is not required for this year under **trustees and** section 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 and that an Independent **examiner** Examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to
- examine the accounts (under section 145 of the 2011 Act),
- follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the
- Charity Commission (under section 145(5)(b) of the Act), and
- state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
- **Basis of** My examination was carried out in accordance with General Directions
- **independent** given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of **examiner’s** the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the **statement** accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the accounts.
- **Independent** In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention: **examiner's** 1. which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in, any material **statement** respect, the trustees have not met the requirements to ensure that:
- proper accounting records are kept (in accordance with section 130 of
- the Act); and
- accounts are prepared which agree with the accounting records and
- comply with the accounting requirements of the Act; or

## **1. Basis of accounts**
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2015) – Charities SORP (FRS 102), the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) and the Companies Act 2006
Killingworth Young Peoples Club meets the definition of a public benefit entity under FRS 102. Assets and liabilities are initially recognised at historical cost or transaction value unless otherwise stated in the relevant accounting policy note(s).
## **2. Trustees and Staff**
No Trustees were remunerated or received expenses payments. The salary costs for the period were £27,111
## **3. Costs of financial services**
The cost for the Independent Examination for the financial period will be £400
