Hednesford Centennial Lions Club (HCLC) is part of the worldwide Lions organisation with the simple motto of ‘We Serve’. HCLC meet monthly to manage its business and financial affairs. The meeting is open to all members of the group as well as members of the public. Trustee and board meetings are held quarterly throughout the year. It is stated that in the HCLC AGM each April the new elected officers (president, treasurer and secretary) will automatically take on the role of trustee. One other trustee from the members of the group is elected at this meeting. During each business meeting there is a section for events and service where we discuss ways to raise money and how and who we can help in the community. A side committee is set up for further discussions when needed to organise and present back to the business meeting the next month. The charity’s main purpose is to fundraise to enable it supports the local community of Hednesford and when needed those further afield. The charity states it will help: Children and young people; Elderly and old people; People with disabilities; and the General public/mankind.
