Activities
The charity provides a safe environment and facilities for children, their carers and young people up to the age of 30 to participate in leisure and other social activities, primarily in the outdoors (e.g. Canoeing, kayaking,walking, Environmental projects, etc. ), for personal and social growth and to provide advice and assistance to other individuals by reason of age or infirmity or social need.
Objects: The Objects Of The CIO Are For The Public Benefit And To Be Carried Out Within A Christian Ethos: 1) To Promote The Care And Upbringing Of Children In Particular But Not Exclusively By: A) Providing Safe Group And Family Play And Other Activities Designed To Support Children’s Social And Emotional Development; B) Providing Activities Designed To Preserve And Protect The Physical And Emotional Health Of Children And Their Parents/carers; C) Providing Or Assisting In The Provision Of Facilities In The Interests Of Social Welfare For Recreation Or Other Leisure Time Occupation Of Children And Their Parents/carers With The Object Of Improving Their Conditions Of Life. 2) To Act As A Resource For Young People Up To The Age Of 30 By Providing Advice And Assistance And Organising Programmes Of Physical, Educational And Other Activities As A Means Of Advancing In Life And Helping Young People By Developing Their Skills, Capacities And Capabilities To Enable Them To Participate In Society As Independent, Mature And Responsible Individuals; 3) To Provide Facilities For Recreation Or Other Leisure Time Occupation Of Individuals Who Have Need Of Such Facilities By Reason Of Their Youth, Age, Infirmity Or Disablement, Financial Hardship Or Social And Economic Circumstances Or For The Public At Large In The Interests Of Social Welfare And With The Object Of Improving Their Conditions Of Life.
