Integration of the principles of public benefit into the development and evaluation of our charitable activities. 3. Periodic updates to understand and be aware of any changes of evolving guidance provided by the Charity Commission. |

Para 1.20 | The charity has continued its steadfast support in East Africa, particularly in Rwanda. Avasara has played a pivotal role in providing essential access to sanitary products and establishing safe, clean spaces for their use. Beyond the immediate health implications of inadequate sanitary products, the charity recognizes the profound impact on women and girls' education, wellbeing, and overall lives. Despite Rwanda's commendable decision in December 2019 to eliminate VAT on sanitary products, accessibility remains a challenge for many women and girls, especially those in rural areas. Avasara strives to bridge this gap by not only addressing immediate needs but also fostering education and awareness during periods. This commitment reflects the charity's dedication to creating sustainable and meaningful change for beneficiaries and contributing to broader societal improvements. |
