Obj£ctiv¢s and actiN'ities
We are an independent Chesbire basd ch￿lty that provides a range of clubs. activities 9￿d Services for
children, young peopl¢ and adu]ts with Autism Sp¢ctTUm Condition (ASCI and iheir families.
We b¢gon in 2005 when, as a group of parents of children V¥rnth ASC. we got together to do something
about the lack L)f sllpport and seTh'ices for families like ours. We felt isolated aThd excluded and f&qred for tbe
fuiure of our children.
We began meciing ovcr a pub once a month iviih a handful of parents and in 2011 set up our I st Social
Skill Club for children aged 8-12yrs. ID 2013 wc D]o&cd to our first prcmises but outgrcw this w"ithill 2yrs so
mol'ed agaArL in 2015 to enable us to offer drop in sessions during the week wbereby we invited
professionals to cotne and speak to parents.
Wc moved to largeT pTemises in Septemb¢r 2017 due to incrtrdsing demand for our services. We now
offer offL¢e and meeting room space. a sensory sllite. scnsory garden. art r(N)rn and a community café.
Our HQ provides Us with a number of T￿rnS which means that we can run activities simultaneously and it eveD
provides u5 with office space to sublet to Co￿p11￿C￿tary ser¥i¢es.

Team, assessing school age children and adults for ASC). Autumll Phycology and the Adult Hub which is
by CWP.
Our service..
We ruTh a wide range of regular events. workshops and clubs for autistic childrentyoung people. adults and
th¢iT families.
From April 2023 to March 2024 we ran the following projects either face to face or onlin¢ which were
accessed by over 7.(N)O family members.

rcspit¢ to pmtl¢ar¢rs.
Space for Kids & Apollo - M'o clubs, each accomtllodaiing ten children aged frorn 4 to 7 years. Activities
in¢lude team games, tsking turns, sharing. tnusic and drama and sports sessions (rutming races. ball
g8]nes, b¢3n bag Taces etr.). All activities are 'chtld led..
Saturday Club & Saturn Satwdays- two clubs, each for twelve childretL aged from 8 tts 10 years. As well
85 Pro￿dIng a 5af¢ play ¢nvironm¢n4 both clubs offer a program of actisrytics designed to help children
become more independent.
Space Mates & Fun Friday- ￿'ellIng clubs for sxxieen youttg people aged from 10 to 13 years. Fwi
Fnday has a 'youth club. vibe and providL% 'chill out tirne. at the elld of th¢ B'¢¢k. whilst offering valuable
socialising opportUDities. A¢tiiYties include ar¢ ponery. pTh)L air hockey, table tennis, musie making and
ovie Dights.
Space for You- An evening club foT teenagers. 14 to 18 years. Provtding opportunittes to develop skills for
sndep¢nd¢rtce such as relationship buildin8 and d￿-¢lOpIng communication. In-hous¢ artiviti¢5 in¢lude gam¢s,
bingo. chess. gaming. karaoke. movie nights baking. Commwiity activities include visiting elimbing
wa115, bowlingy BBQS, eaiittg ]ncals out and Laser Quesl.
Galaxy Group - An evening club for up to 40 adults fmm 18+ Yea￿ providing a wide rdnge of social aDd
learning OpportU￿1t1¢S. Activities are vatied and are decided by the people attending. They include Chat and
Chill sessions, bsngo. b0￿d ga￿¢$, pooL art and ciafts", a]r hockcyy karaokc. quizzes, food preparaiion
sessions. and much tnore! In additiOTL, we have interesting and ethicational visits from the likes of
Healthwatch. Open2Auiism and ￿￿E1clan5.
School Holiday clubs
A club for the whole fatDily. including autisttc childre￿ly0￿￿8 people, their
siblings. and par¢ntlcarers. This ¢lub off¢rs a variery of activities and eTrcnts designed to engage aDd enlertain
family members of all ages. proyiding opportUDities for IK)DdiDg. learning, and fijn experiences togeiber
durin8 school breaks.
Educational Workshops - a wide range of workshops for parGnts. rarers and prof¢$siott&ls. Subjects
in¢lude sensory issues. challellgillg behai'iour and ii,hat its reall), llke to live with ASC. We also rdn
workshops with Moneybox Wills and Trusts about Pla￿￿￿8 abead.
Art Sessions - We ran tbree art sessions ￿ week during t¢m) Eime. two for adults with ASC and one for
¢hildren and young people with ASC. They work with our artist using media as a mode of expression and
comjnunicaiion.
Open Space

Mon-Thurs for advice and 5upporL
"Sp#ce to Prosper" _ For m¢mbtts who do not know where to turn. Our staff can Tnake appointments
with the outrcach team to help 8￿Y probleTns and refetlsignposi to the ri8bt service if necessary. The
Outreach team also raise awareness iti th¢ ¢oJnmunity by attenditi8 various other service5 and schools.
Coull$elling Sp#ee for ASC Adults
A counsellinE service for our autistic adults which is run by
iU15ellots who have a breadth of knowledge of ASC. The5¢ aTe d¢liver¢d either face to face, via

We develoFd our own self-help course with our in-house
psychotherapist. The course has 7 EDodule5 and be completed over a 12-montb period with videos
and ivorkshects for the member to work through then￿C1ve& ai a pace that is right for them. This is open
to any adult ￿ernber.
S4A ¢*fé {iticluditt8 sensory café area) - open five days a week to members and the public. Staffed by a
highly qua]ified Chef supported by our kit¢h¢n *am along with volunteers with ASC.
