From the period 1[st] January 2021 to 31[st] December 2021, the charity Friends of NEFOS Kenya had an account balance of zero. We did not raise any funds during the period, nor did we spend any money.

This is because our main focus during this period was setting up a bank account. This proved to be difficult because of the nationwide lockdown due to the covid pandemic that ran from January 2021 – May 2021. This made it very difficult for trustees to visit banks in person to sign documents and to actually book an appointment with a bank.

We had limited activity during this period due to the inability to set up a bank account. However, we did continue to meet and established our goals were to:

• 1) Set up a bank account

• 2) Set up a website

• 3) Start to look into grant applications and fundraising
