Trustee selection methods
In selecting and appointing new Trustees, Section 10 'Appointmenl of
chanty trustees. and sub clauses11) and {2) of our constitution have been
followed in the appointment of new twstees in addition to the first charity
trustees.
Before being appointed at a duly constituted Trustee meeting, new
Trustees are each invited to submit a brief personal statement outlining
any relevant experiènce and interests that they bring to their role.
For Nominated Trustees, Section 10 'Appointment of charity trustees. sub
claLbses {1 > and {2) of our constitution have been followed in the
appointment of new Nominated tfuslees. In addilion, Nominated
Trustees additional requirements are selected according
to Section 10.IAI 1 through to 5.

The CIO continues to operate under the License agreement with
Soulhwater Parish Council for two facilities., The Ghyll and the Laurie
Apted building.

To promote for the benefit of the inhabitants of parish of Southwater,
West Sussex and the surrounding area the provision of facilities for
recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need
of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, or
for the public at large in the int8rests of social wellare and with the object
of improving the condition of life of thé said inhabitants

This year an agreement was setup and signed on the 2911012024 with
the Parash Council to Licence the space previous Ihe Gafé. The ParFsh
Council.. then arranged a sub licen￿ agreement with Southwater Youth
Project who occupy the spa￿, which was previously the cafe.
Work was carried out to the area that was the café kitchen to enable The
Performance Zone to extend their Licence agreement to include Ihe area
of the cafe kitchen.

The Ghyll has always intended to make the playing field more playal￿e
during the winter. 11 was agreed and a planning application was submitted
in December 2024 to tun the pitch into an all-weather pitch. This
application was not decided during this accounting period. but it wa8
rejected by Horsham District Coun¢il post this account period.
Section D
Achievements and performance
The Ghyll building continues to present maintenance challenges to Ihe
Trustees (partly due to its age and partially due to lack of investment in
the past) with improvements and repairs ongoing during the year. The
Trustees are commrtted to this work and to make rt a welcoming pla￿ to
visit.
A project for the upgrade for the two of the toilet systems was completed
and this project was for a complete redesign of the loilels to all
for an ac￿Ssible loilet in each of the Iwo toilet facilities.
The use of the facililies available over the last year has increased and it
is intended that that this will continue over the next year.

A Reserves Policy was agreed in February 2023 and the amounts put
aside will be regularly revi8w8d by the Management Committee.

The amount of operational reserves held is, £42,000
There is an additional £2.250 being held for MUGA improvements.

charity I'the Trust") for the year ended 31 03 2025.
Responsibilities and
basis of rgport
As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the
accounts in accordance with the reqLJiremenls of the Charities Act 2011
("the Act").
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I
have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 14515}Ibl of the Act.
Independent tThe charity's gross income exceeded £250,000 and l am qualified to
examiner's statement undertake the examination by being a qualified member of linsert name of
