The society achieves these aims by organiing public lecture5 given by leading archaeological profe$sional$ and excursions lo study archaeo- logical and historic siles. Members participate in fieldwork projects us- ing the society's own archaeological equipment. June- The society completed V•Drk on the West side of Lansdosffi Road, 8ath Surveying the Owdte enclosure in Playing Fiehj. This project is part of an 0Tr30ing study of SpeCrf￿ sites on the Lansdown plateau. Jun - An eXCaVat￿n together wlh National Tmst vdunteefS was made of a Bath House in the grounds of Prior Park. Juty- ¥e retumed to the Twn Barrows site ad4'acent to Lansdown Golf Club for the geophysKal survey. Juty work was also undertaken t()3ether with volunteers from the National Trust on a Boer War era training camp known as Flahvood Camp on Claverton Ckn4n. August- Further Geophys surveying at Marslon Mill September - a Geophys survey wa$ made of the HaHa in front of the Road Crescent. A watching brief vras undertaken at Norton St Phillip Churchyard by Direc- tor of Archaeology Shaun Wilson November - an EDM survey vrds made of the Twn 8arrows site and a Geophys survey also made of Charlecombe Churchyard. Excutsion$ - The soryety was able to organise visits in the middle of Summer Nthen Covid rules ere lifted. One lo the Perymead cemeteries in Bath and the second to three Somerset Churches. Leclureg- The &4CAS 2021 Spring series of public lectures was $us- pended. IThEver the partnership developed ¥￿th Bristol Museum, Bristol and Avon Archaeolog￿al Society and Bristol and Gloucestershire Af- chaeokngical SocEty continued to present lectures by Zoom, whtch were 11 received.
