OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
Objectives and aims
The ￿lief of sickness and the preservation and protettion of health for the public benefit by seeking and
supporting research into a cure or preventative treatment for NF2 INF2-rel3ted Schwannomatosisl.
NF2 8iosolutions UK INBS UK) was established in 2020 to support UK and Europe based research Into NF2.
since then, it has built a network of volunteers. and has fomied strong links with one of the world's leadin
NF2 research centres in Manchester. UK.
The maln aimsofNBS UK'S programmes are:
To build and malnlain a UK wide network of volunteers. who wlll both ralsè awareness of NF2, and raise
funds Eowards supporting research into a cure or preventative treatment for NF2.
To identify promlslng research being carrled out Into NF2 that rnay beneflt from N3S UK'S support, and
work out how best to support and advance this research.

In the 12 months under revlew, NBS UK:
Malntalned è UK wide ne￿Ork of over 40 volunteers
Enhanced a Social Media presence through which awareness and fvnds are bein6 raised
Built and malntalned strong links with specialist NF2 centres In the UK and Europe
Funded four PhD students to carry oul research on NF2 tumours at the UnNersity of Manchester
The resèarch carried out at the University of Manchester by NBS UK- funded students has been clted In
91 scientiflc papers

STRUCTURE. GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMEI
NBS UK is a re8lStered charSty and is governed by its constitution.
Following an introductory meeting with the chair and chief financial officer, potential trustees are
invited to attend a board meeting at whith theiT application for membership is discussed. Both
parties will consider the appointment and the decision will be ratified at the subsequent board
meeting.
There is no provlslon for the appointrnent of trustees by any external person or LKTrdy.
FINANCIAL RÉVIEW
The trustees revSew annually the level of reserves held. The charity aims to malntain reserves equivalent
to at least SSX months running costs.
The statèment of Flnancial Activities shows a deficit for the year, due to feduced grant Income coupled wlth
Increased researth expenditure. The trustees are confident that financial performance will Improve In the
near future which wlll enable the charity to continue achleving its alms and oblettives.
CHARITABLE STATUS
NF2 B10501ullons UK acquired charitable status on 21. May 2020.
RISK ASSESSMENT
The trustees have considered and assessed every risk that could affect the charity. The risk assessment
process encompassed not only the financial situation but also Sirategic and circumstantial considerations.
The trustee5 confirm that systems have been established to mitigate all such risks identified a5 part of this
proces5.
REPORTING ACCOUNTANTS
The company was entitled to audit exemption for the year under review. A resolution proposing the
leappointment of H B Enoch and Owen Ltd as reportÉng accountsnts to the charity will be put to the Annual
Gene.ral Meeting.

STAYEMENT OF TRUSTEES RESPONSIBIUTIES
The trustees are responsible for preparing the Report of the Trustees and the financial statements in
accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards (United Kingdom Generallv
Accepted AccDunting Practice).
The law applicable to charities in Eng13nd and Wales requires the Trustee5 to prepare financial statements
for each flnan¢ial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charlty and of the
incoming resources and application of resources of the charity for that period. In preparing those
financial statements, the trustees are required to
select suitable accounting policies and then apply them conslstently,.
observe the methods and prin¢lples in the Charity SORP;
make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent;
preparc the financial statements on the 80ing concern basis unless It is inappropriate to presume
that the charitable company will continue in buslness.
The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accountlng records whl¢h disclose with reasonable
accuracy at any time the financlal position of the charitable company and to enable them to ensure that
the finanelal statements comply with the Charities Act 2011, the Charlty IAccounts and Reportsl
Regulations 2CK)8 and the provisions of the trust deed. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets
of the charlty and hence for taking reasonable steps for the preventlon and detectlon of fraud and other
irregularitles.

NF2 BIOSOLUTIONS UK (REGISTERED NUMBER: 1189618)
We report to the Trustees of NF2 Biosolutions UK on our examination of the accounts for the year ended
31 July 2025.
Responslbllltles and basls of report
The charity's trustee5 are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's trustees consider
that an audit Is not required for this year (under Section 144121 of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) and
that an independent examination is reqijired.
Basis ol the independent examiners report
Our examination was carried out in accordance with s. 145 of the 2011 Act, and in carrying out my
examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under s.
14515llbl of the Act.. An examination includes a ieview of the accountin8 records kept by the charity and a
comparison af the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual
items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeklng explanations from you as tnjstees concerning any such
matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide èll the evidence that would be required in an audlt,
and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts p￿sent 8 'true an(1 falr vlew and the
report is limited to those matters set out in the statements below.
Independent examlners statement
We have completed our ex8mination. We confirm that no material matters have come to our attention In
connection with the examinatlon 8Svin8 us cause to believe that in any materlal respect..
