NF2 BIOSOLUTIONS UK (REGISTERED NUMBER: 1189618) REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 JULY 2024 OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES Objectives and aims The fellef of sickness and the preservation and protection of health for the public benefit by seeking and supporting research into a cure or preventative treatment for NF2 (Neurofibromatosis Type 21. NF2 Biosolutions UK INBS UK) was established in 2020 to support UK and Europe based research into N F2. Since then, it has built a network of volunteers, and has formed strong links with one of the world's leading NF2 research centres in Manchester, UK. The main aims of NBS UK'S programmes are: To build 3 UK wide network of volunteers, who will both raise awareness of NF2, and raise funds towards supporting research into a cure or prevent2tlve treatment for NF2. To identify promising research being carried out into NF2 that may benefit from NBS UK'S support, and work out how best to support and advance this research. During the year under review, ie August 2023 to July 2024, NBS UK has further established itself as a dynami¢ charlty, which is being proactive in the fight agalnst NF2. In the 12 months under review, NBS UK: Maintained a UK wide network of over 40 volunteers Enhanced a Social Media presence through which awareness and funds are being raised Built and malntalned strong links Wlth specialist NF2 centres in the UK and Europe Funded two new PhD students to carry out research on NF2 tumours at the University of Manchester, in addition to the two PhD students that were already funded by NBS UK
NF2 BIOSOLUTIONS UK (REGISTERED NUMBER: 1189618) REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 July 2024 STRUCTURÉ, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT NBS UK is a reglstered charity and is governed by it5 constitution. Following an introductory meeting with the chair and chief financial offlcer, potential trustees are invited to attend a board meeting at which their application for membership is discussed. Both parties will consider the appointment and the decision will be ratified at the subsequent board meeting. There is no provision for the appointment of trustees by any external person or body. FINANCIAL REVIEW The trustees review annually the level of reserves held. The charity aims to maintain reserves equivalent to at least six months running costs. The statement of Financial Activities shows a surplus In funds, which demonstrates another successful year of operation. The trustees are confident that continued strorkg financial performance will enable the charity to build on the current level of reserves whilst achieving its aims and objectives. CHARITABLE STATUS NF2 Biosolutions UK acquired charitable status on 21, May 2020. RISK ASSESSMENT The trustee5 have considered and assessed every risk that could affect the charit¥. The risk assessment process encompassed not only the financial situation but also strategic and circumstantial considerations. The trustees confirm that systems have been established to mitigate all such risks identified as part of this process. REPORTING ACCOUNTANTS The company was entitled to 3udit exemption for the year under review. A resolution proposing the reappointment of H B Enoch and awen Ltd as reporting accountants to the charity will be put to the Annual General Meeting.

Re5ponsibilitles and basis of report The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year (under Sectior* 144121 of the Charities Act 2011 Ithe 2011 Act) and that all independent examination is required. Basls of the independent examlners report Our examination was carried out in accordance with s. 145 of the 2011 Act, and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under s. 14515llbl of the Act. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual Items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning 3ny such matters.
