FRIENDS of MORE HOUSE Achievements 2023 - 2024
A heartfelt thank you to everyone for your incredible support this year, which has enabled Friends of More House (FoMH) to invest in a wide range of projects across the school.
Michaelmas Term:
Lent Term:
The Sponsored Walk was as usual a whole school experience where FoMH provided refreshments of doughnuts and ice lollies, raising £429.17 . We then officially took over the running of FoMH in October 2023, and we had less than four weeks to organise the Christmas Fayre. Despite the steep learning curve, we raised an impressive £5,212.70 and hopefully brought festive joy to all who attended.
The Lent Term, which we thought would be quieter, was anything but! Thanks to the efforts of Anita Stewart and Sam Cooke, we held two successful bake sales, a spring gift shop, and an Easter egg tombola, raising £2,176.65 . These events were hugely popular with both boys and staff.
Trinity Term:
In the Summer Term, we hosted another bake sale, provided refreshments for Sports Day, and organised the much-anticipated Proms in the Park. This event truly showcased the special MHS community spirit and the incredible musical talent of pupils and staff. It was also a touching farewell to Mr. Mark Plaice, who retired after 21 years of service. Special thanks to Oliver and Jane Kubicki for running the Summer Raffle, which helped us raise a whopping £2,050 . We also made a collection for the staff involved in the Activities Week trips, as a thank you for their dedication. By the end of the term we had raised £10,326.04
Our second-hand uniform shop, expertly run by Heather Shepherd, continues to bring in essential funds each year.

YEAR GROUP REPS
Our Year reps are often the first point of contact with a current parent for new families and provide a warm welcome. They keep everyone informed about the forthcoming FOMH events. Reps can organise a variety of social activities for their year groups. They are not a liaison between their year group and the school. For any school enquiries, we encourage parents to email their form tutors and year head’s.

Kim,
I've reviewed the 1st September 2023-31st August 2024 accounts for Friends of More House.
I've assessed that they've maintained proper records through this period and that the accounts align with those records.
I didn't find any significant issues.
Kind regards, Tamara Smith
