## Lions Club of Llandudno (CIO) Trustees Annual Report Prepared for Submission to the Charities Commission ## Introduction This Trustees Annual Report is submitted on behalf of the Club, a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), following our annual review meeting held on Tuesday, 27th January 2026. This report is intended to satisfy the requirements set by the Charities Commission for annual submissions. ## Structure, Governance and Management The Club operates as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) and is managed by a Board of Trustees and Club Directors. The Trustees are responsible for ensuring that the charity is run in accordance with its governing document and legal requirements. The annual review meeting was attended by all Trustees and Club Directors, ensuring robust oversight and governance throughout the year. Current Trustees: - Lion President Janet Jones - Club Treasurer Lion Wendy Mylchreest - Club Admin Secretary Lion Martin Smith - Lion Gordon Woodyatt ## Objectives and Activities The Club’s primary purpose is to advance its charitable objectives as outlined in our constitution. Throughout the year, all activities and expenditure have been aligned with these purposes, with the Trustees and Directors regularly monitoring progress and impact. During the last financial year, the Club undertook a range of activities and programmes designed to further our charitable aims. All funds raised were used exclusively to support these purposes, as agreed by the Trustees and Club Directors at the annual review meeting. ## Financial Review The Club’s financial year runs from July 1st to June 30th. The financial statements for the year ending 30th June 2025 have been audited by William Denton Accountants. The Trustees are pleased to report that the audited accounts did not raise any concerns. The Club’s financial position remains sound, with income and expenditure managed prudently in accordance with our charitable objectives. All funds raised have been utilised in line with the Club’s purposes, and there have been no instances of mismanagement or misuse of resources. ## Public Benefit The Trustees confirm that the Club has continued to operate for the public benefit throughout the year, in accordance with the Charities Commission guidelines. Activities and programmes have been designed to deliver measurable benefits to our beneficiaries and local community. ## Trustees' Responsibilities The Trustees have complied with their duty to have regard to the guidance on public benefit published by the Charities Commission. They have maintained effective oversight of all Club activities, finances, and governance arrangements. ## Statement of Approval This report has been reviewed and approved by the Board of Trustees and Club Directors. The information contained herein is accurate and complete to the best of our knowledge, and is submitted in accordance with the requirements for CIOs as set out by the Charities Commission.
