## Trustees Report Lions Club of Llandudno ## Introduction The Trustees of the Lions Club of Llandudno convened a meeting ahead of the Club’s Directors meeting on Tuesday, 29th September, to discuss and confirm arrangements for the Club's Annual CIO Returns submission in February 2025. ## Trustees Present - Lion Martin Smith (Club Admin Secretary) - Lion Wendy Mylchreest (Club Treasurer) - Lion Gordon Woodyatt ## Current Status and Challenges It was noted that since the resignation of Lion Alun Evans last year, who was the Chair of Trustees and CIO Point of Contact, Trustees meetings have not been held as regularly as intended. The board of Trustees is not as complete as in previous years. While Lion Martin Smith, as Secretary, has taken on the role of CIO admin, the Trustees expressed a preference for a more independent member to assume this role in the coming year. ## Lions Club of Llandudno Aims The primary aim of the Lions Club of Llandudno is to support the community of Llandudno and its surrounding areas through various service activities and donations to worthy causes. The Club raises funds to meet these aims. During the Lion year from July 1st, 2023 to June 30th, 2024, the Club has organized bucket collections and fundraising activities such as tombola and lucky dip games. The annual Boxing Day Sea Dip, Honda Gold Wing Light Parade, and ASDA Llandudno collection are our most reliable income streams with respect to fundraising. All funds raised from the public are utilized solely for charitable purposes, and no public money is used to pay Lions members or volunteers. ## Conclusion The Trustees are committed to ensuring that the Lions Club of Llandudno continues to thrive and serve the community effectively. The upcoming year will focus on finding an independent member to handle CIO admin tasks and maintaining the regularity of Trustees meetings. The Club will continue to engage in fundraising activities to support its charitable endeavors.
