In last 12 months there has been a few changes to our charity structure and work, changes of trustees, and recruitment of a specialist fundraiser for the charity. We continue the fight to protect anything in the Oceans that is connected with wrong doing or detrimental to the Oceans or marine life. 1. Structure, Governance and Management Blue Seas Protection is a registered charity governed by its constitution. The charity is managed by its trustees, who are responsible for overseeing its activities, financial management, and strategic direction. The trustees meet as required to review progress, manage resources, and ensure the charity continues to operate in line with its objectives. ## 3. Objectives and Activities The charity’s objective is the protection and conservation of marine life, with a particular focus on dolphins and other cetaceans. To achieve its objectives, Blue Seas Protection: - Raises awareness of marine conservation issues - Educates the public on threats to marine wildlife - Campaigns against harmful practices, including dolphin hunts in the Faroe Islands - Campaigns against pollution, hard chemicals, excessive use of plastic and sewage spills in the Waters. - Engages with communities, schools, and supporters The trustees confirm that they have complied with their duty to have due regard to public benefit guidance published by the Charity Commission. ## 4. Achievements and Performance During the reporting period, the charity delivered a range of awareness and engagement activities: ## Campaigning and Awareness The charity continued its work raising awareness of dolphin hunting practices in the Faroe Islands. Campaign materials, including visual media and messaging, were shared to inform the public and encourage ethical consideration. We have campaigned against sewage spills, supermarket packaging and reduction of hard chemicals use in domestic cleaning, amongst many other environmental campaigns around the UK. ## Digital Engagement Blue Seas Protection maintained an active online presence, including promotion of its campaign platform _Stop The Grind Now, Stop UK Sewage etc._ Social media channels were used to share updates, increase visibility, and engage supporters. ## Educational Outreach The charity received support from a school on the Isle of Wight, helping to raise awareness among young people and educators about marine conservation and dolphin protection. ## Public Engagement The charity’s content generated interaction from supporters through likes, shares, and discussions, helping to broaden the reach of its message. ## Advocacy The charity highlighted links between tourism and dolphin hunting practices and encouraged the public to make informed and ethical choices. ## 5. Financial Review ## **Total Income:** £2,600 Income was generated through donations and sales activities. ## **Expenditure:** £1350 Expenditure has been directed towards campaign activities, awareness work, and general operational costs. ## **Balance at Year End:** £1250 ## **Reserves Policy:** The charity aims to maintain modest reserves to ensure continuity of its operations and to support ongoing campaigns. ## 6. Plans for Future Periods Blue Seas Protection plans to: - Expand outreach to additional schools and community groups - Increase national and international environmental awareness campaigns - Strengthen its digital and social media presence - To work towards self-sufficiency in Funding of Operations. - Develop partnerships with other conservation organisations - Continue advocacy and protection of environment and marine life ## 7.
