Description of the Charity's Trusts
The goveming document is Ihe Charty's Constr(ution dated 11 September 2019.
The Charity is constituted as a charitable incorporated orgarbisation.
The Trustees and membership of the Charity is open to any paying member or honorary
member of Wetherby and District Rotary Club, Trustees are elected by that club by ballot
in open meetlng.
Summary of the objects of the Charity
The Charity was fonned for general charitable purposes particularfy involving educalion
and training, assistance with disabilities and the prevention and relief of poverty.
Main activities
The charity has SFM)nsored a young person to take part in the Rotary Youth Leadership
Award Scheme and Youth Speaks (which provides educatlonal support for primary school
children locally), Martin House (a local hospice) and the Wheelchair Foundation, The
Charity has supported Rotary Foundation, (which is the Rotary movements central
charitable organisation). In addition, the Charity has made sundry small donations.
Maln achlevements during the year
The Trustees feel that the Charity's main achievements during the year are those in
support of local youth including the Youth Speaks project mentioned above and the youth
leadership award scheme for senior school 6th form pupils.
Financial position
The Charity has a positive bank balance as at 30 June 2024 of £2,611. It is able to call
upon Wetherby & District Rotary Club to provide support when required.
