Para 1.20 The charity gave a grant to Mill Road
Winter Fair, a community led annual event
attracting over 10,000 people, run by
volunteers. Through its grant, it enabled the
inclusion of community elements (parade,
buskers, film, dancers and children’s
activities).
The charity gave a grant to Mill Road
Fringe to support provision of a series of
inclusive arts and cultural events in the Mill
Road area – a ‘summer shindig’ with live
music, four poetry evenings, a film day and
a fashion show showcasing clothes from
Mill Road’s charity and vintage shops.
The charity gave a grant to the Mill Road
Traders’ Association to support the costs of
interpretation for the Gateway to India’
project in Ditchburn Gardens. This is a
stone archway reconstructed from the
recycled carved sculptures rescued from a
local Hindu temple. The project brought
together and celebrated diverse faiths and
cultures.

donations and made grants throughout the
year. As at 31 May 2024, it held £16,842 in
the bank, some of which was earmarked for
post-year end grants and the remainder
remains available for future grants.
