The Trustees present ihcir report alone with the financial statements of the Charity for the ytar ended 31,
August 2025. The financial statements have been prepared In acrordance with the accounting policies Set
out In note l and comply with the Trust Deed and the applicable law. The tru5tee'5 report Includes the
directors, report as required by company law.
Background information
In May 2020 the Charity Commission approved Irish HEritagÈ as a rÈgistÉrÈd tharity. Èn ImportÈnt
development in the evolution of the organi53tion.
Estab115hed in LondDn in 1974, the charit¢s objett Is to advanie public edutation and appretiation tsf the
arts, particularly those of Irish and Anglo-Iri5h music, arts, literature and drama of 311 genres and traditions
to the benefit of the community.
composors In ihe early part of thtir caroers. It awards four valuable Bursaries annually, one for performance,
one for composition, one for string instruments. another for vocal studies and a special accompanist's
award.
Irish Heritage presÈnts a programme of public ovÈnts In Èstablished music venues and supports other
organi53tions, including the Blackwater Valley Opera Festival that shares It5 Bitns in mv5ic and the arts. It
has links with tollÈgÈ5 and tonservatDirÈs in Irèland and Britain to Identify Èmerging. talentèd young
performers and composers.
The charity's values. Creativity, Encouragement, Co113boration, Enjoyment and Inclu5iVlty, reflect the legacy
inherited from its founder5 Ethna Bnd Charles Kennedy and 3re the inspiration for ihe organisation's Outreach
and Comrnunity programrne, delivered In 35501iation with the Irish Cultural Centre. which brings theioy of live
music io people who cannot normally access It, to children in education and to those who benefit from muslc
as therapy

The Charity carried out a full programme of events throughout the course ol the year both In the Irish
Heritage Artistic Programme and the Irish Heritage Outreach Service5 to Irish Communities.

Bpplications and individual donation5. Once a£ain, the Emi￿rant Support Progr3mme of the Government of
Ireland'5 Dep3rtment of Foreign Affairs provided vital funds 35 did the Ireland Fund5 Annual Grant Round.
Individual donor5 facilitated the bursary programme with generous support

Irish Heriiage was foriunate 10 continue 10 benefit from funding Sourced through successful grant
applications and individual donations. Once again, the Emigrani Support Programme of the Government of
Irelind'5 Dep3rtment of Foreign Affairs provided vital funds a5 did the Ireland Fund5 Annual Gr3nt Round.

Accounting policies
General information and basis of preparation
The financial siatemenis have been prepared In accordance with the siatement of
Recommended Practice-. AccouniinE and Reporting by Ch3rities preparing their accounts in
accordanie with the FinanEial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of
Ireland IFRS 1021 issued in October 2019 and the Financial Reporting Standard appliEable In
the United Kingdom 3nd Republic ol Ireland IFRS 1021 and UK Generally Accepted Arcounting
Practice.
The Trust meets the definition of a public benefit entiiy under FRS 102. Asscts and liabilities
relevant accounting policy notc.
Ir15h Heritage Limited Is a private cornpany incorporated in England & Wale5 and limited bv
guarantee. The nature of the charit¢5 operations and principal activities are detailed In the
report to trustees on page5 2-3.
The financial statements have been prepared to give a'true and fair, view and have departed
from the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 only to the extent required to
provide a 'true and fair view,. Thi5 departure has involved followine the Accouniing and
Reporting by Charities.- Siaiement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities
preparing their accounis in accordance with Ihe Financial Reporiing Standard applicable in
the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021155ued in October 2019 rather than the Accounting
and Reporiing by Charities.- Statement of Recommended Practice effective from l April 2005
which has since been withdrawn.
The finanEial statements are prepared Dn a going concern ba515 under the historical c05t
convention. The financial siatemenis are presented In sterline which Is the functional
currency of the charity and rounded to the nearest £.
The 51gniliiant accounting policie5 applied in the preparation of these financial 5t3tementS
are sei out below. These policies have been consistently applied to all years presented unles5
otherwise slated.
Income
Donations are recogni5ed In the year in which the ch3rity is entitled to and certain of receipt
and the amount can be mèasured with rÈasonablÈ tertainty. Income Is only dÈferrÈd when
the chariiy ha5 to fulfil conditions before becoming entiiled to it or where the donor has
spetifiÈd that thÈ income Is to be ÈxpÈndÈd in a future year Gift aid is added to thÈ value of
the donation to which it relaies.
No amount 15 included in the financi315tatement5 for volunteer time in line with the SORP
IFRS 1021.

Donated services are recognised as income and expenditure In the financial statements whÈn
organisations or individuals offer their service5 and support pro bono. The value of ihese
donatÈd services to Irish Heritage Limited Is considÈrÈd to be Èqual to ma rket valuÈ which
would be paid were thÈ sÈrvitÈ formally procurÈd. This includes sÈrvicÈs paid for by DthÈr
Investment income is accounted for on a receivable basis.
Expenditure
Expenditure is inclLJded on an accrua15 ba515. Expenditure is recognised as soon as there 15
legal or constructive oblig3tion comrnitting the charity to pay out re50urce5 it 15 prob3ble
that the settlement will be required and the amount of the obligation can be measured
reliably. Irrecoverable VAT is charged as an expense aeainst the activity for which
expenditure ar05e.
Grants payable to third partios are within the charitable objoctives. Whoro unconditional
grants are offered, this Is accruÈd as soon as the recipient Is notified of the grant, as this gives
rise to a reasonable expectation that the recipient will receive the grants. Where grants are
conditional relating to performance then thÈ grant is only actruÈd when any unfulfilled
conditions are outside of the control of tho charity.
Charitable activities comprise those costs directly attribuiable to the fulfilmeni of the
tharitÈblÈ objects.
Governance costs
Governance costs comprise 311 costs involving the public 3CCOLJntability of the charity and
C05t5 related tD Statutory requirernent5.
Taxation
The Trust 15 a registered charity and Is not liable to United Kingdom Incorne or corporation
tax on charitable activities, provided Income falls within the charitable exemptions and is
spent on chariiable purposes.
Funds
The general unrestricted fund is free for the Trustees to use for any purposes in furtherance
Restricted funds arise from donations to the trust which are made for a specific purpose.
Restricted funds can only be used for the purpose for which funds werÈ given.
Debtors and creditors receivable I payable within one year
Debtor5 and creditors With no stated interest rate 3nd receivable or pByBble within one ye3r
are recorded at transattion pritÈ. Any losses a1151ng from impairment are rÈtDgnised In
Èxpenditure.
