Our Aims
FODIP'S objects are:
The promotton of racial and religio￿ barniony for th¢ IKn¢fit of the public in
particular but not exclusively by:
a) Promoting mutual understanding and respect between Jews, Christian4 Muslims and
the wider public in the UK.
b) The provision of assistance. through dialo.(we and educatioru where cotnmunity
relations are threaten¢d by differences in perspectiNes regarding the IsraelilPalestinian
confiict and other global problems"
c) Resourcing the public concerning religious issues and approaches to peace and justi¢e,
involving events and people in the Middle East
Objectives
In order to fulfil these ain￿, FODIP works through three main are&s of activity:
On a local level, resourcing and facilitating dialogue and educatÈon among local faith
and inter faith groups on the Israeli Patestinian conllicL
Through Study Touts to Israel and Palestine"
At nationaj leiiel, acting as a point of infom￿tIOn and advice. consulti￿￿ and
providing material for nalional organisations and institutions.
Governance
The members has met quarterly during this Ferio¢ and more frequently for inforn￿l meetings
and project delivery.
Aetivities
This w&s an unprecedented year due to COVID
FODIP Ca￿led out a range of activities for the period May 2020- August 2021 in pursuance
of is objectiv¢s and aims. The members consider that these activities Sum￿Sed in this
reporL provide benefit both to those who participat¢ in S￿]riC events and the ￿ryder
comtnunities represented.

Tr2ining and Development
As part of the commitment to provide skills enabling people in faith comn]unities to speak
about scnsÉtive Èssues. FODIP delivered a 2 part traintng session on their ' Flear to Hear
methodology. This was attended by partner organisation& members and staff. Growing our
links and networks is integral to inctease our reacl staff. and members attended various
onlin¢ events and workshops in order to achieve thi&
OnlEne Webinars
Due to the pandetnic. FODtP moved n￿lY of it's planned in workshops online using
Zoom. FODIP hosted the online seminars usino e.xperts: professionals: academics and people
with lived expcriences. This enabled the important conversations and learning to Continue.
They were held using ZooTn: this increased participation and rcachcd far and wide with
participants being able to join from around the Jo obe. These M'ere recorded and madc
available on YouTube.

Scottish Interfaith Week
In November 2020 FODIP weTe invited to take part in the annual Scottish Interfaith Week.
FODIP host¢d an online Infom￿tiVe Sessio￿ 'lntroduction to Religious Appmacbes to
P81estine Israel in Judaism, Christiantty and Islam.. This was part of a longer programme.
FODIP'S Christmas 2020
FODIP put in an app￿ance at the St Edburgb's ChurclL Bicester Christmas Tree Festival.

Balfour Project
FODIP delivered onlinc training discussing interfaith relations in the UL within the context
of Israel and Palestine. to a group of young Feople who were part of the Balfour Project
Fellowship Programme.
Support 2nd Advice
Ongoing support and advice has been provided to edU￿tioll institutions. councils. individuals
and interfaith groups. A letter by then Education Secrelory Gavin Williamson stated FODIP
&s a trusted and teputable organisation to support dialogue on the i&sue of Palestine and Isra¢l.
FODIP Ambassadors
FODIP were d¢li(yhted to receive a grant from AW￿dS for AEI through the National Lottery to
fund the delivery of a programme of workshops with youn
. people. The Young Amb&ssadors
worked hard in developing a nurnb￿ of workshops %￿h￿ch they co-del jirered. These
workshops focused on faith b￿lliOnS in the LK Antisemitism and Islamophobi4 Difficult
dialogue on the Holv Land and collaborated on a oroup discussio￿ with a ￿0Up of
Palestinians and Israeli4 on how th¢y build tsusi and cooperation between the two groups.
Listening Events
University of Salford
FODIP were engagcd by Untversity, of Salford to help them start a conversation aTound their
adoption of the International Holocaust Remembrance Associations (IHRA) defmition of
antisemitism. FODIP facilitated a Listenino Event to provide a safe space for the Uniiiersity
to consider wa)'"s to address antisemitism on ¢ampus and in the wider community. and to
explore perspectives on the IsrnelTralestine dilemm& It allowed space to consider the
implications of the adoption for the University and stakeholder&
Local Councils
Du¢ to local councils, education institutions and interfaith organisalions facing difficuIty in
managing con]munity relations in May 2021, FODIP were askcd to int¢rv¢nc and help
navigate cooperation especially between councils. their residents. parents. pupils and
community members.

SportiDg Equals
FODIP were commissioned to deliver a small number of interactive workshops to young
people in 5 boroughs of London. These workshops focused on learning and undersL2nding
faith communilics in the UK. Due to COVID, on]y onc was delivered itl person and the
others were delivered through an online interactive ptesentation and workshop.
Women's Sports Prngramme
We resumed our interfaith wom¢n"s only k¢¢p a¢tiv¢ s¢&sions when the government
re.tsulations allowed this to happen. Local trainers lead the women in physical exercise and
keep fit sessions. These lake place once a week. taking a break for religious holldays and
festivals. Social distancing was observed and hand santtizcrs Nvere provided to provide
:omen mainly fron] traditional backgrounds a safe and private space.

We are grateful to our donors and fimders who enabled us to keep goino and enabled us to
plan strategically for future tttnes.

Financial Reserves
R¢s¢rves Policy
The members have agreed the reserves polÈcy to leave enough to meet three month5. numing costs. This
means that the reserves for the year are as set at i l Augiist 2021 of £7200 (unrestricted) which is equal to
three months, expenditure on costs (that is rent and nTrDagement).
Principal funding sources
The main source of incotne is througb small and donations. Restricted income came from 3 sources:
Sport Englan(L Sporting Equals and The National Lottery AW￿d5 for All scheme. In addition, deljvery of
seminars. consultation expertise and facilitation where appropriate. attract payD]ent for such services, as do
sales of publications.
Investment policy and objectives
The associatton has no long-tenn investmellts. All c&8h reserves are held in the Unity Tn￿l current bank
account.
