**FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2023** 

The Trustees present the accounts for the year ended 31 March 2023. The previous accounting period was from 01 April 2022 to 31 March 2023. 

## **OBJECTIVES** 

The objects of the charity are “to advance the Christian faith for the public benefit in such ways and in such parts of the United Kingdom or the world as the trustees from time to time may think fit.” 

## **ORGANISATION** 

Word-Alive Mission and Ministries International is a registered charity established by Deed of Trust. The Charity carries out religious and other charitable work in the UK. 

The Trustees meet regularly to manage the activities of the charity. Given the small size of the charity, the trustees also constitute its management. 

## **PUBLIC BENEFIT** 

The trustees confirm that they have referred to the guidance contained in the Charity Commission’s general guidance on Public Benefit when reviewing the charity’s aim and objectives and in planning future activities. 

## **REVIEW OF THE YEAR** 

During the year, the charity did not engage in any activity. 

## **FINANCIAL REVIEW** 

Income is generated from donations and offerings made by members of the congregation. Total receipts was £4,373. 

Payments in the year was £2,796. 

The net result for the year was a net inflow of funds of £1,577. 

## **RESERVES POLICY** 

At 31 March 2023, the charity had unrestricted reserves of £1,577.

## **COMPLIANCE WITH THE CHARITY’S GOVERNING DOCUMENT AND CURRENT STATUTORY REQUIREMENTS** 

The accounts have been prepared in accordance with the Governing Document of the Charity and with current statutory requirements. 

## **STATEMENT OF TRUSTEES’ RESPONSIBILITIES** 

The Charities Act 2011 requires the trustees to prepare for each financial year financial statements which give a true and fair view of the charity’s financial activities during the year and of its financial position at the year end.  In preparing the financial statements the trustees are required to: 

- select suitable accounting policies and apply them consistently; 

- observe the methods and principles in the Charity Commission guidelines for the preparation of accounts using the Receipts and Payments basis 

- make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent; and 

- adopt the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the Charity will continue on that basis. 

The trustees are responsible for ensuring proper accounting records are kept which disclose, with reasonable accuracy at any time, the financial position of the Charity and enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Trust Deed and the disclosure regulations. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the Charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of error, fraud and other irregularities.

## **WORD-ALIVE MISSION AND MINISTRIES INTERNATIONAL** 

I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Word-Alive Mission and Ministries International for the year ended 31 March 2023. 

## **Responsibilities and basis of report** 

As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

## **Independent examiner's statement** 

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect: 

1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act; or 

2. the accounts do not accord with those records. 

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
