Previous Minute for 1/4/24 agreed** ## **2.0 Registration of our 3 sites with the Land Registry** The Land Registry had misunderstood the needs for registration so have canceled the applications. Solicitar has reapplied. ## **3.0 Sites** ## **3.1 Barton Vale** Concern over ongoing maintenance costs for this site which is no longer used. Ben Bar Orian charges £600 2-3 per year. Are there cheaper alternatives? Agreed to have a site visit on Sunday November 10. Sam to look into alternative gardeners and links to school. Alan and Sam to find out who is responsible for the back wall adjacent to Sweetman Place. ## **3.2 Fishponds** Overflow leak now fixed. ## **3.3 Memorial Woodlands** £2,760 maintenance costs this year . ## **4.0 Deaths** There were 2 deaths this past year, Arnold Greenwood April 2024 and John Hecht May 2024. Both of whose familes paid the £4,200 fee. ## **5.0 Open Days** No open day this year at Fishponds due to lack of availability from both Sam and Yoram. But £700 in donations have been received. We discussed the possibility of setting up a digital donations system on a Bristol Chevra website. We are now using Quick Books which costs us £1,000 per year. ## **7.0 Funeral costs** Very much the same as last year, Harris' charges £2,500 for a weekday funeral, Memorial Woodlands charges an additional £930 for working with them. We now charge £4,200. Our only income is from deaths and donations. We still need to explore extending our reach and trying to find funds from bigger Jewish organizations.
