Charity name: Love Life UK Church

Charity registration number: 1189430

Objectives and Activities

SORP reference
Summary of the purposes of
the charity as set out in its
governing document
Para 1.17 The object of the CIO is to advance the
Christian faith for the public benefit, in
Barnsley and such other parts of the United
Kingdom or the world that the charity
trustees may from time to time think fit, and
to fulfil such other purposes which are
exclusively charitable according to the law
of England and Wales and are connected
with the charity work of the charity
Summary of the main
activities in relation to those
purposes for the public
benefit, in particular, the
activities, projects or
services identified in the
accounts.
Para 1.17 and
1.19
The main activities in the reporting period
were mainly related to the public worship,
preaching and prayer activities of the
church. The aim is to make the christian
gospel relevant to as many as possible
through high quality worship music, and the
presentation of the gospel and relevant
biblical teaching on a weekly basis.
The CV20 prayer ministry continued,
engaging a team of christians and christian
leaders from inside and outside Love Life
Church. The aim is to foster prayer and
spiritual hunger in the church as well as
building christian unity across
denominations.

whether the trustees have
had regard to the guidance
issued by the Charity
Commission on public

Achievements and Performance

SORP reference
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 The church meets in a chapel building in
Barnsley, that was home to the great
missionary pioneer, Hudson Taylor, who
had great impact in China. This is a point
of historical interest and makes the church
a focus for people interested in Christian
history.
The church does not believe that
Christianity belongs in a museum, however
and in everything they have done this year,
they have worked to bring the gospel to life
and to make it relevant to the lives of the
congregation in Barnsley.
All the effort put into the local services has
served to make Christianity relevant and
accessible to the church community and
the wider community in Barnsley.
