## **The Peace Building CIO** 

Annual Report for 2020/2021 

**It was a challenging year for everyone because of the pandemic and yet despite that, we were able to make excellent progress on the journey to achieve our vision of a peace museum in London. We laid sound foundations. We:** 

**1.** Registered The Peace Building as a CIO with the Charity Commission. 

**2.** Opened a charity bank account with the Coop. 

**3.** Registered with HMRC for GiftAid. 

**4.** Developed the required number of policies. 

**5.** Created a virtual peace museum – the first in the world! 

**6.** Developed initial plans for new peace education work with schools. 

**7.** Secured ongoing donations to underpin our future stability. 

**8.** Explored and networked in East London, the chosen location for our real life peace museum. 

**9.** Brought the well-established Peaceful Schools Movement under our aegis. 

## **In 2021/2022 we aim to raise our profile, build visitor numbers, develop projects and access a range of funding. Our priorities are to:** 

**1.** Undertake consultation with schools in East London to create our peace education programmes. 

**2.** Develop a ‘Peace Talks’ programme for all ages. 

**3.** Work with partners to develop policies and action for a culture of peace. 

**4.** Explore partners and locations in East London for our first real life museum. 

**5.** Undertake a fundraising and PR programme. 

**6.** Develop our ICT and administrative support systems.
