Summary of the main
activities in relation to those
purposes for the public
benefit, in particular, the
activities, projects or
services identified in the
accounts.
In planning our activities for the year at our trustee
meetings, we kept in mind the Charity Commission's
guidance on public benefit. A new tractor and prtch related
equipment was purchased for £31,434 while £15,781 was
paid for a combination of a Grounds Management
Association consultant's report and an inrtial instalment on
large project to install d￿lnage under the main prtch. The
investments will help to ensure that pitches remain in good
condition such that fewer matches are postponed through
bad weather. The charity welcomes all people wrthout
distinction of age, sex, sexual orientation, race or of
political, religious or other opinions.
Achievements and Perfonnance
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
chartty's work has made to
the circumstances of tts
beneficiaries and any wider
benefrts to society as a
whole.
Following two years disrupted by Covid 19, the charty grew
team numbers from 29 to 32. The investments in equipment
described at)ove were funded by circa £23,576 of grant
funding from the Football Foundation and the sale of
existing equipment which was not fit for purpose. The
investments provide an enhanced expenence for existing
members but also ensure that the pitches hav6 the capacrty
to meet the demand Irom an ever-grO￿n9 local population
for girls and boys lo play football and develop socjal skills.
h8alth and fitne86 through the medium of foott)all. Towarrts
the end of the financial year, work commenced on the main
pitch drainage project following confinnation from the
Football Foundation during the penod that sunrficant grant
funding towards this project will be available. The chanty
was plea88d lo welcome to ils clubhouse a dog training
academy and the local Camera Club which hosted weekly
meeling8. In addition. Premier Education ran some holiday
camps for youngsters and Essex FA ran several trainin9
courses during the period. Fundraising events included the
sale of some advertising space on f8ncing installed in the
vious
riod. a monthl raffle and various social events.

Towards the end of the period planning had started for the
resumption of the annual boys and girls 'Funday'
toumaments to be held in June 22. These are expected to
materially boost fundraising in the subsequent period.
Flnancial Review
Review of the charity's
financial position at the end
of the period
The charity finished the year in a strong financial position
and it had no significant liabilities. The cash ouffiow seen in
the previous period reversed with a net irfflow of £11,518 as
player registration fees and match subscriptions increased
following the pandemic and private rental fees restarted.
The period also saw less net investment oufflow.
Statement explaining the
policy for holding reserves
stating why they are held
We wnsider that cash reserves should be maintained at
minimum of £4k of unrestricted cash all times. This is
considered a prudent level to cover day to day exFenses for
several months. All meaningful projects are planned in
advance and not undertaken until committed funding is in
lace.
