The day to day running of the shed is over seen by the shed committee and the trustees. 

Both the shed shed committee consider the views of all the members. 

There is a code of conduct, Health and Safety Policy, Data protection Policy and a Safe Guarding Policy for Adults and Minors in place. 

The shed has worked  closely with the local housing authority ONGO.

## **Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document** 

To alleviate loneliness with in the community and help improve well being and physical welfare especially elderly members who are living on their own. 

The shed activities cover all aspects of carpentry, training in wood turning and basic carpentry skills. 

1. The shed plans and organises trips on a canal boat. 2. Trips on a train around the local steel works 3. Plans afternoon teas.

These activities benefit our members by developing their self confidence and help them to socialise as well as giving them an incite to carpentry.

We are grateful for the help and guidance we have been given since the shed opened, especially from the many volunteers who have spent many hours listening and encouraging our members.

2022 was a year of recovery a year to try and find some sense **Summary of the main** of normality. We began the year with a desire to grow and become established. A desire to officially let the area know that we existed. To have and open day. To have the confidence to take on new members. The last few months have become easier and more positive. New members are joining, it has become a place where people can come and enjoy themselves in a safe environment. The shed is looking forward to expanding and bring more members into the shed.
