Attended Lion President Laurie Oatway, Lion Past President Peter Cresswell, Lion Secretary Ann Evans, Lion Treasurer Chris Evans, Lion Geoff Homer.
President Lion Laurie thanked PP Lion Peter Cresswell for his 5 Year Service as President. Especially with the COVID Pandemic in completing transitions for the Club CIO Registration. Lion PP Peter Creswell received applause for his service to Sale & District Lions Club.
District 105CN Youth Trust Appeal 2022. Lion Chris read the correspondence out. Lion Chris commented afterwards important that all Lions Clubs continue to support it. The monies would cover the future investment of supporting of the Lions Youth Programs. This the following competitions:
Music Competition, Young Ambassador, Youth Exchange, International Peace Poster Competition and Essay Competition.
Agreed by all Trustees approve £100-00 Donation.
Lion Ann Evans received communication about the Disabled Policy formerly adopted by the MD105 UK Council of District Governors 01/07/2020 to 30/06/2021.
This Disabled Policy should be read by every club member.
Lion Geoff Homer reported to on tonight’s Club Business Meeting a big thank you to Lion David Moss & Lion PP Peter Cresswell for assisting him with the organisation of Father’s Day Fete June 2023.
Special thanks for the sterling work Lion Chris Evans Club Treasurer on the financial side on Father’s Day Fete June 2023 and production of such a detailed financial statement which makes clear where all the money has gone to and come from.
Finances: Club Treasurer Lion Chris Evans June 2022 Monthly Income & Expenditure Monthly Report to be read out to Club Members along with August 2022 Account Balances. As we are always a month behind due to the Club Meeting being the First Monday of the Month. This is applicable every month.

Agreed to have a Comedy for Charity Night Fund Raiser support Blind Veterans UK locally. Lions give financial support to the Home for Blind Veterans UK in Llandudno. Agreed support Little Green Socks Charity locally based in Trafford this would be a Partnership with Urmston Lions Club & Stretford Lions Club. Support would be a one-off monetary donation. Trustees agreed put it to the Club for further consideration. See Club Minutes Further Information.
Lion Secretary Ann Evans arranged visit for October 2022 Club Business Meeting for Shane from the Young Carers to attend and give a talk. Trustee Meeting Closed at 20.10 Hours on Monday 05/09/2022.

Agreed Seniors Party in December 2022, support the lonely, elderly, disadvantaged Christmas Party three course meal, free raffle, music brass band etc. Lion Chris Evans Club Treasurer 70[th] Birthday received £490-00 in donations monies were donated into the Charity Account.
Lion Chris Evans Club Treasurer would like the £490-00 donated in the Charity Account go towards the Comedy for Charity Blind Veterans event to be held in February 2023.
Lion Geoff Homer reported that he had received a £1000 Grant from the Mayoral Fund to be allocated against the Father’s Day Fete June 2023 in relation to expenditure.
Membership
Subscriptions:
No change in Half Year Subscriptions remains £35-00 payment due 01/12/2022.
Lions Club International Board of Directors:
They have abolished Affiliate Membership and Associated Membership. Affiliate Membership:
Affiliate Membership was the purpose a Lion Club Member could not attend Club Meetings on a Regular basis.
Affiliate Membership had no voting rights at the Club or District Convention or MD105 UK Convention.
Associated Membership
Associated Membership would be registered full membership which the club they served. Associated Membership if the same member wished to belong to another club they could join as an Associated Member.
When as possible they could also support that club.
Associated Membership would apply mainly when a Mother Club formed another club in the geographical location they were.
Member of the Mother Club would take Associated Membership with the newly formed club, this would help the newly formed club with knowledge and experience.
Associated Membership was probably the most whereby a Lion Member worked overseas for long periods therefore able to serve both Lions Clubs.

Lion President Laurie Oatway now has confirmation resignation of PP Lion Peter Cresswell.
PP Lion Peter Cresswell formerly as now resigned held a Position in the Club as a Full Paid Up Club Member & Trustee.
Reason for Resignation.
Relocating from current residential property in Sale and hopefully all goes to plan will become resident in Lytham St Annes and intending to become a Member of Lytham St Annes Lions Club.
Lion President Laurie Oatway attended Remembrance Day November 2022 as the Main Club Representative lay a wreath on behalf of the Club. Seniors Party December 2022.
Received a Grant £500-00 from Trafford Council Inclusive Neighbourhood Grant Year 2022 to Year 2023.
Received a Grant £100-00 from Forever Manchester.

Agreed Plan in Joint Project Breath Champs with Heather Henry https://www.lifeinsale.com/news/breathchamps-sale-first-breathing-friendly-town-in-the-uk Asthma side, just the with promotion and provide assistance with gifts for Children 2 years to 12 years, Heather as suggested some places to obtain them from. Lion President Laurie Oatway thanked the Trustees for his wife Lion Maureen Oatway Bouquet Flowers for her 90[th] Birthday.
Shane on behalf of Young Carers gave a talk about the insight of Young Carers in Trafford Area. Received information where we could help with a monetary one-off donation to fund an Art Session in the School Holidays.
Lion Geoff Homer organiser of the Comedy for Charity Night received Donation letter of thanks on behalf of Blind Veterans.
This letter of thanks was passed onto Club Treasurer Lion Chris Evans.
Little Green Socks Charity refer to Trustees Meeting Monday 05/09/2022.
The Project was approved by the Trustees/Club Members some time ago agreed joint Project with Urmston Lion Club and Stretford Lion Club.
The objective of the Charity Little Green Socks meet the needs of Children in Poverty in the Trafford Area.
Lady point of contact at Little Green Socks requested urgent need of Babies Stair Gates and Moses Basket Stands and left over monies to be spent on toiletries for Boys and Girls.

First Objective: Service Projects supports Individuals/Family Low income provide a Fund Day Out no Entrance Charge Individual spend money on Charity Stall/Stalls or Commercial Stall/Stalls their choice. Second Objective: Enables Charity Stalls represented on the day their awareness in the community and raise money for themselves. Receive a small income on the day from Charity. Third Objective.

President Lion Laurie Oatway answered an email from Son of Bill Chetham former Club Member of Sale & District Lions Club.
Neil Chetham asked if Sale & District Lions Club had a Particular Charity that they support. Lion President Laurie Oatway recommended Blind Veterans UK.
Lion President Laurie Oatway read the email out to the Trustees at the Meeting as being part of Lions Club International we have a connection with Sight Vision Knights of the Blind. It was proposed by Club Treasurer Lion Chris Evans and Seconded by Lion Geoff Homer. Confirmation of Club Officers Secretary, Treasurer, President Year 01/07/2023 to 30/06/2024. Volunteer Club Member wish to take any of the roles on this would be required at the Club Business Meeting to follow.

Put forward a recommendation increase half yearly subscription from £35-00 per member to £37-00 per member keep in line with increase of the District, MD105 UK and International Subscription.
