In this third year of operation Sibling Support has continued to successfully raise funds through our growing number of supporters. In the year leading to 30April 2023 Sibling Support raised funds from Donations (£15,942) most of which were raised through an incredibly successful fundraising event hosted at No 11 Downing Street London. Sibling Support received two Grants (£8,210). The funds continue to be used to produce and distribute Sibling Support specific resources, which are now widely recognized and actively requested. We continued to spend on booklets (£1818) and memory boxes (£610). We invested in new resources which included hosting two sibling specific Support Days (one for baby loss and one for adults) (£590) and a new Mindfulness Walk in collaboration with the National Trust (£3855). |

Para 1.20 | In its third year of operation as a registered charity Sibling Support has continued to grow in size and recognition within our sector. We continue to be approached from charities, families, and other organizations (like schools and children’s hospices) for our specially designed resources and the feedback we receive validates that they’re making a valuable impact on the lives of siblings. The event gave us some valuable media coverage to increase awareness and also resulted in some large donations. |
We also have extended our resources and support beyond printed and digital content to physical experiences which include:
-
Attended specialist talks - 500+ (most with extremely positive feedback).
-
Funded three places at a bereavement retreat for siblings over 18.
-
Funded a bereavement day for siblings affected by miscarriage / still birth = 40 attendees (parents + children)
