Section D Achievements and erformance p

## **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**

2020-21 was a year unlike any other. The Covid-19 pandemic had a major impact on the activities of Highway Vineyard Church.

The CIO was pleased, however, to be able to support the Senior Leadership Team of the church in achieving significant successes during the period. In particular:

- In-person services, and Kids Church activities, continued whenever it was deemed safe to hold them. Considerable effort was also made to make them accessible to those watching online. Online church is here to stay and new technology is being fully utilised.

- Similarly, a number of well attended courses were held online, including Alpha, The Bereavement Journey, and a course looking at issues around social justice.

- In response to the pandemic, the church set up a Food Bank, which has made a major impact in supporting disadvantaged people in Little Ilford. Alongside this a Growbaby project has also been launched, providing new and second and clothes to those in need.
