responder volunteer5 to attend

east coast ambulance
service (SECAmb) to advance the education of
the public in basic life
supporL in particular but not exclusively by
provision of training in the

les of first aid.

The main activities of the Charity benefrt the
public at large, within the
town of Faversham in Kent and its surn)unding
parishes, by:
Providing Community First Respondè
who can provide lifesaving care in
emergency situations in the absence of
an ambulance.
Providing ¢lasses in the prin¢iples of
first aid to local schools and community
group
Fundrnising for Defibrillator5 and other
emeryency medical equipment to be
rovided for commun
use.

Achlevements and Perforniance
SORP
The Charity has continued to perfonTh all of its
key functions forthe community during this
year. Following the conclusion of the year. it
was determined by the Trustees that the charity
could no longer carry on the objects forwhich
it was crpated, and that they would seek to
wind up the charity during the next financial

First Response
The core actsvity of the charity has
continued unabated, wtth the charity'5 five
trnined first responders responding to calls in
and around the local community in support of
the South East Coast Ambulance Serv*Ge. The
Trustees believe that they have attended
around 200 patients in the last year.
First Aid Trdinlng and Education
Some of our community first responders
have attended local events to tea¢h members
of the GOTnmunty skills such as CPR and the
use of defibrillators.
Fundraising.
The Charity has continued to participate
in the Faver5ham and District Community
Lottery thi5 year. which has brought in the
majority of the Charitys Income. Other
fundrdising initiati￿S are underniay but have
not yet ljorn fruit. including partnership5 With
Faversham Tesco'5 and with one of the tovm's
Pubs. The Trustees intend to use funds raised
from these efforts for. amongst other purposes.

year the charity recelved a significant grant
