We aim to advance the Islamic faith in Great Harwood for the public benefit, mainly but not exclusively by means of providing a place of worship, religious education, and pastoral care in the community. Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document Arranging funerals for the public regardless of their religious beliefs. MMI has carried out funeral arrangements for the Muslims and wider community including non-Muslims. This involves collaborating with the coroner, registrar, cemeteries, and direct families to provide a free funeral service to them. MMI has introduced a MMI death committee, which operates by providing emotional support or funds to pay for funeral costs, like burial plots, caskets, hearse for those who are struggling to the financial burden a funeral. MMI has been continuing collaborating with the council, the council executives, the cemetery office, and registrar and have delivered a weekend burial service for the community. MMI continues to arrange Nikah (wedding) ceremonies and given the MMI space for the public to use as wedding hall. Summary of the main MMI has helped the welfare of my community and surrounding activities undertaken for the communities including and inspired friends, families, and volunteers to public benefit in relation to contribute and take part in helping others in need. these objects (include within this section the statutory MMI set up a covid support group which helped train, educate, and declaration that trustees have support our local community on the latest updates and new norms had regard to the guidance throughout the pandemic. This support group now also educates the issued by the Charity community how to cope with the economic situations we are all facing. MMI has worked in partnership with Blackburn Rovers to provide the local community the opportunity to attend a football match at the Ewood Park football grounds. For few this is the first time they have attended a football match. This trip offered children and parents an exciting and amazing experience; one they will cherish for years to come. Section D Achievements and erformance p Our academic results showed improvements with our examination results Summary of the main having a 100% pass rate. We have introduced new classes teaching the achievements of the charity community how to cope with the economic situations we are all facing. during the year We continued the operation of the free funeral service and emotional support within MMI for all the community to use regardless of their beliefs. This has helped a sizeable number of grieving families through what the most emotionally difficult experience of their life is. MMI has delivered a weekend burial service with Hyndburn BC. We have arranged free Nikah (wedding) ceremonies and given the MMI space for the public to use as wedding halls which may be too expensive to use for people due to economic constraints. We distributed over two hundred iftari food packs during Ramadhan and raised awareness on hunger within the community. MMI provided a platform to other charities like UWT, Salaam Charity and Rise Support to raise funds for the Earthquakes within Türkiye and Syria and held NADRA surgeries for the local Pakistani community. MMI youth recreational program, has been continuing to work on the recently purchased community centre which can be used for the youths to use. Funds where successfully raised and a building work has commenced. MMI’s arranged primary school visits, has helped develop understanding and of different religions and cultures by providing access to gain such insight. MMI has worked in partnership with Blackburn Rovers offered children and parents an exciting and amazing experience; one they will cherish for years to come. We have motivated the community to come together during this exceedingly tough economic time, helping others regardless of their beliefs.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/03/2023 .
As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
