1. Chairman’s report of the year’s activities, achievements and setbacks
The chairman has opened the meeting and thanked the continued support and the hard work continually provided by the many volunteers and staff of the organisation. The chair also highlighted the wide range of new activities offered by Sudanese Community in Sandwell CIO in 2022 and how they benefited the community. He also noted how the services create a diverse group of clients who regularly attend the service.

In 2022, the organisation (SUDANESE COMMUNITY IN SANDWELL CIO) projects,:-
1[st] Project (Social activities)
Our project provided the community some social opportunities (i.e. BBQ’s, cultural activities, Coffee mornings, trips, etc.) for the local African and Sudanese living in Sandwell. Our social activities aim to use poetry, dance and music to help remove concerns around social exclusion and isolation reconnecting the members with each other’s.
2nd Project (Indoor football)
We are regularly orgonising indoor football matches for the adults and youths, it very popular among male members of our community.
3rd Project (Henna meetings)
Female members of our community use to meet monthly for Henna drawing; this is related to our customs and traditional heritage.
