De Norsemen Klub International UK (DNKI) Trustees' Annual Report and Unaudited Financial Statements For The Year Ended 31 December 2020
Foreword by the De Norsemen Klub International UK (DNKI)
In 2020, a reference to Covid-19 has been included. Because of the timing of the pandemic, the impact on the 2020 annual report and accounts is highly affected for this particular charity as we were newly registered and about to start operations before the beginning of the pandemic.
This charity’s objective is to support and relief poverty of the people who are homeless and rough sleeping in London and surrounding areas by the provision of food, clothes and other items and services, Providing entry level vocational training, upskilling and soft skills acquisitions.
However, the pandemic had a very significant impact on our take off and the 2020 financial year – in terms of planned fundraising as well as key focus of the work of the charity.

We are delighted to be reviewing our first year. The year 2020 was a very difficult but successful year for DKNI, In the face of the pandemic we were able to raise about £6,172.00 and we spent about £6,065.64 to provide relief to the public and to also support our members. We will continue to have as our aim the vision of raising at least £10000 a year to fulfil our charitable aims and objectives by meeting the needs of people who are homeless and rough sleeping. This objective is key to our success and we will continue to go from strength to strength.
-
Before our successful registration with the charity commission in April 2020, we had some lay down strategy but the Covid-19 pandemic had a huge impact on DKNI and this really affected our set targets for the year 2020 and as a result of this DKNI changed its operations and focus on the delivery/donation of food stuff to a local supported living home in the Lewisham borough. The lockdown could not allow us to carry out some of our planned inauguration activities.

Donations from our registered members made this work possible and future donations will be the key to our continued success. We believe that by changing someone, we bring joy to them and their families.
-
This is our first report as charitable organisation, and we would like to thank the commission for giving us the platform to volunteer and help the in relief of poverty.

DNKI Income Statement from donations and legacies
The commission requires that the notes to the accounts provide an analysis of the material components of income included within each analysis heading. Some additional narrative has been included as it was felt that this would be helpful to the reader of the accounts. DKNI’s income was from registered members rather than the government.
