## **Trustees Annual Report April 2020/March 2021**

It was with great pleasure and a blessing when the church, Christ Compassion Ministry International was registered as a charity with the Charity Commission in April 2020.

It was around the same time that Covid 19 emerged and the country went into the first lockdown in March. As a baby church at its beginnings, it was challenging as meeting as a church congregation was interrupted. Initially we thought that things were going to ease sooner rather than later but the situation became one that prolonged with uncertainties as and when we could gather as a church. It was such a blessing that the congregation could access the Pastoral care through telephone contact. This went on up until the beginning of 2021.

It was decided by the trustees and the church leaders to carry out church services online via Skype or Zoom because it became clear that covid 19 and its complexities could prevent the church from functioning in the way that it was used to. It was thought that it would be wise to make the best of what was available. We therefore informed and encouraged the congregation to the new way of fellowshipping and accessing services to cater for their spiritual and physical well-being. We adapted our services to make it suitable for the congregation to access. We gathered virtually online three times a week. Sunday is Sunday Church Service; Monday is set for Bible study and teachings; and Friday is Prayer Tower; a day that we gather for prayers interceding for each other, our church and our loved ones, our community, our nation and our world. We dedicated Tuesdays and Wednesdays for personal consultation with our Pastor where the members of the church could contact Pastor via telephone for counselling, advice or whatever help and support they required and prayers.

We made the best of what was available to us and the

congregation was taken care of as best as possible under the conditions that we found ourselves as a country. We considered it a blessing to be able to have access to some spiritual support in such a difficult time.
