## **2. Objectives and Activities** 

Our Objectives 

Femtribe’s charitable objective is to improve the health, education, and overall wellbeing of women and girls, particularly those living in deprived conditions in Sierra Leone and within Sierra Leonean and wider communities in the UK. 

We aim to empower women and girls to achieve long-term stability and independence through: 

Access to education 

Health awareness and maternal wellbeing 

Mentorship and skills development 

Community support and outreach 

## **Our Activities** 

During the reporting period, Femtribe focused on: 

Establishing the charity’s governance, policies, and operational foundations 

Community engagement and awareness-raising around women’s and maternal health 

Planning and delivering charitable initiatives to support women and girls 



Fundraising activities to support current and future programmes 

Developing partnerships and volunteer networks both in the UK and Sierra Leone 

## **3. Achievements and Impact** 

As this was an early stage period for Femtribe, the trustees focused on building a strong foundation to ensure sustainable impact. 

Key achievements include: 

Formation of a committed trustee and volunteer team 

Initial fundraising and donation-based activities 

Delivery of practical support initiatives, including assistance for women and families in need 

Engagement with community members to identify priority needs relating to health, education, and empowerment 

These activities have helped increase awareness, provide immediate support, and lay the groundwork for expanded charitable programmes. 

## **4. Public Benefit** 

The trustees confirm that they have had due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit. 

Femtribe’s activities are carried out for the benefit of the public by: 

Supporting women and girls who face social, economic, and health inequalities 

Improving access to health information and education 

Encouraging empowerment, independence, and community resilience 

The charity’s work is open and accessible to beneficiaries who meet the criteria of need and aligns directly with its charitable purposes.

During the reporting period, Femtribe received income primarily through donations and fundraising activities. 



Expenditure was mainly used to support charitable activities, community outreach, and essential operational costs required to run the charity responsibly. 

The trustees consider the charity to be financially stable at this stage of development and are committed to maintaining appropriate financial controls as the charity grows.

Femtribe is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation governed by a board of trustees who meet regularly to review activities, finances, and future plans. 

All trustees serve on a voluntary basis and are responsible for: 

Ensuring compliance with charity law

Acting in the best interests of the charity and its beneficiaries 

Where relevant, conflicts of interest are declared and managed in line with the charity’s policies.
