I am writing to provide a formal account of the history and recent developments relating to the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) at King’s Academy Binfield , as part of the PTA’s application for charity status.
On 1st May 2024 , a Parent Teacher Association meeting was held from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM . This meeting was led by the former Chair and Vice Chair of the existing King’s Academy Binfield Primary PTA and was attended by both parents and teaching staff from the school.
During this meeting, it was formally proposed and agreed to dissolve the existing joint PTA in order to reflect the operational separation of the two schools it previously served— King’s Academy Binfield Primary and King’s Academy Oakwood . A vote was held, and it was unanimously decided to dissolve the current PTA structure and establish two separate PTAs —one for each school.
As a result of this decision:

King’s Academy Oakwood has since successfully established its own PTA.

King’s Academy Binfield Primary has held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) , during which a new committee was formed, comprising both parents and teachers .
The newly established King’s Academy Binfield Primary PTA is now functioning independently, with a defined constitution and committee, and is actively seeking charity status to enable it to better serve the school and local community through fundraising and engagement initiatives.
