(b) Providing support and activities, which
develop their skills, capacities and
capabilities to enable them to participate in
society as mature and responsible
individuals.

The young people we have been supporting
continued to receive mentoring and
resources support.
In addition, a laptop donated by a well-
wisher was given to a young person to help
in her higher studies.
Nalam Vaala donated learning materials to
25 students from a school in
Thambalawathai in Batticaloa, Eastern Sri
Lanka. This school is in a very deprived area
and the recipients of these donations have
no living parents. Cost of this activity was
£135
Nalam Vaala also donated exercise books to
50 students age ranging from 5 to 15 years
old from a deprived area in Amparai district
in Eastern Sri Lanka. The beneficiaries of
these donations were identified by the
school as most needed. Cost of this activity
was £223.
We organised a charity walk in London in
August and raised just under £1,025 through
crowd funding.
