(b) Providing support and activities, which
develop their skills, capacities and
capabilities to enable them to participate in
society as mature and responsible
individuals.

The young people we have been supporting
continued to receive mentoring and
resources support.
In addition, a laptop donated by a well-
wisher was given to a young person to help
in his higher studies.
Nalam Vaala donated school shoes for 25
students of a nursery class in a very
deprived area.
We organised a charity walk in London in
July and raised just over £850 through crowd
funding.
We have launched a pilot project (English
literacy after-school non-formal-learning) in
collaboration with a secondary school in
Keerimalai, Jaffna district, Northern Sri
Lanka. This pilot project is expected to run
for 6 months.
During this reporting period, we have
registered our organisation as Nalam Vaala
Trust in Sri Lanka.
