Oi'erview
The Governing Body of CYCALL was delighted to welcome Simon DOnIe￿ ￿ the Trustee tehm. Simon has an excellent
knowledge of finarhcial managemeni and accounthng and whll contribuie gre￿lY io the sound governance of CYCALL. Tanya
Collins and Sarah Pickford have stood down Jfter serving their *rm &8 fO￿dIng Trustees.
As a result of funding fYotTr the Worthing Communiiy InfMiruciure Levy and the Asda foundation CYCALLL has opened a
new sensory space at Brooklands Pa)*. The CHUB is a Converted stor￿0¢ ¢onlainer and is equipped with sensory equipment,
sensory lighting and seating. The CHUB is an excellent addition to CYCALL sessions and is proving very popular with
visitors. The CHUB offers a quiet space for CYCALL visitors. The CHUB ajso has a bwk ar¢a which contains thoughtful
books which are relevani to CYCALL customers.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
The principal source ofcYcALL funding is from Restriaed Grants awarded for a designated purpose. . These funds are
supplemented by voluni(%rs allending local comrnunity events, vgluntary donaiions and selling of donated goods at Car Boot
sales. We were grateful to receive financial support (grantsldoDations) fTom the following funderslorganisations during this

The funding has allowed CYCALL to remain in a stable financial sittsaiion and has met rnany of our operational costs including
refreshments, insurance, bike and site mainienance and volunittr iraining costs. The Trustees of CYCALL have made the
decision lo continue to offer ¢ycling sessions on a don*ions only b&8is io prevent f]nancial exclusion for those families
Struggling financially at th¢ moment.
Laura Nichol, a rnember of Angmering Cycling Club undertook a challenge of c)cling from Lands End to John O Groats to
raise funds for CYCALL. The funds rdised were used to purchase a new adapted bike from Tomcat SNI Ltd.
The CYCALL key objecrives of increasing physical acttvity and reducing so¢ial isolalion for people with disabilities or long
terni health conditions remain a high priority both nationally and on a local level. Both objeciives continue to feature in
National and Local Governmeni planning and stralegy for h¢alth and wellbeing outcomes.
CYCALL has a 3 year development plan and a set of Management Ac¢ounts which show the budget and forecast of inc(Trme &
expenditure. CYCALL also maintains a Risk Register which mitigates financial and reputational risk. These are working
documents and are reviewed and on a regular b&sis. The struciure and govemanc¢ pro¢￿vr¢S help to secure a
sustainable future for CYCALL.

CYCALL received funding from th¢ Chapman Charitsble Tn]￿ which allowed u5 to welcome Chloe back as a s¢ssion leader
and to recruit a new session &ssistant, Andre. At ihe start of the season, sessions were limited to alternate SatUTday's however
a personal donation from a member of the CYCALL community allowed us to additionally open on alternate 11)ursdays.

Recruitrnent and 2PPOllltrnent of new trustees
Apart from the first charsty trustees, every ttusiee must be appointed for a terni of 3 years by a resolution passed at a properly
convened meeting. In selecting individuals for apwTrintment as charity trustees, the exisiing Trustees of CYCALL ¢onsider the
skills, experience and knowledge and deiem)ine ilthe person will be effective ag a member of The Board of Trustees. All
Trustees receive a Trustee handbook which includes infonnation from The Charity Commission d￿u￿ent,The Essen(ial
Trnstee {CC3). The Chair of CYCALL provides induction training and each new Trusttt is paired wilh an exi5ring Trustee
during the Induction pcriod. CYCALL is committed io supporting the INstees io enhance their skills and knowledge further. to
improve the effectiveness of the board and increase the collective ex￿lse within the organi5ation.
Organisational structure
CYCALL has a board of 4 Trusiees. The Trustees rn¢¢t 4 iim¢s a year and hold a General Meeting annually. Th¢ last Annual
General meeting was held on Tuesday 15th April, 2025.
According to the chariiies gov¢rning document there must ￿ at le&si thTee charity trustees. If the numE¢r falls below this
minimllm. the remaining trustee or tn]siees may act only to call a Tneeting of the charlry tnjsiees, or appoint a new charity
trustee. The M￿]muM number of charity mjsiees is 9. The charity trustees wnay not appoint any charity trustee if as a result the
number of charity trustccs would exceed the m￿lMU￿. Apart fri)m th¢ flrsi Charity tsmstees, every trustee must be appointed
[for a temi of ihre¢ years] by a resoluiion passed ai a properly convened meeiing of the charity trustees. In selecting individuals
for appointment as charity IN￿ees. the charity trustees must have regard io the skills. knowledge and experience needed for the
effective administration of the CIO. Trustee5 undergo a full induction and receive the same tt2ining as volunteers.
Opportunities for CPD are provid¢d r¢gularly. CYCALL mainthins a Risk Registrr which is r¢vi¢wed and updated every 6
months by rhe TNstees.

As the charity trustees of the CIO you are resp)nsible for the preparation of th¢ a￿oUnts in accordance with the
requirement5 of the Charities Act 2011 {Ihe Aci).
I report in respecl of my examination of the Cl(Ys accounts carried out under section 145 of the Act and carrying out
my examination I have followed all applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under seciion 145(5Xb) of
the Act.
