Achievements and Performance

Summary of
the main
achievements
of the charity,
identifying the
difference the
charity’s work
has made to
the
circumstances
of its
beneficiaries
and any wider
benefits to
society as a
whole.
The organisation has attracted outside interest from
various other like-minded charity groups due to the quality
of activities that we have embarked on for the past few
years. One of our objectives is to promote education about
our history and culture. This will enable the young adults
to take interest in their culture and continue to promote
Kriodom.
The organisation continues to grow steadily with like-
minded Krio people in the UK and Ireland expressing
interest to join the group. To date we have over 115 active
and paid-up members. We continue receive expression of
interest and process applications for new members
monthly. These are members with quality and diverse
expertise’s that the organisation can benefit from.
The organisation has maintained a good structure on how
to keep members updated with the regular information
sharing process. We continue to have general meetings
virtually every month and face to face meetings 4 times a
year. This continues to work successfully for members,
giving everyone the opportunity to meet face to face
periodically to socialise and share our African cuisine after
the face to face meetings.
Projects in the pipeline include:
•Untold Stories fund raising activities to produce a
mural and online digital information about
notable Krio people.
•Possible project under the untold stories project
called ‘London Festival of Architecture’ – Voice,
this is to run a workshop and speak to people
who have lived in ‘Bod Ose’
•Ongoing
discussions
with
stakeholders
to
financially support completion of the ‘Krio
Ose’/Museum in Sierra Leone.
•Ongoing collaborative working relationship with
KDY.
•Charity giving within the local community in the
UK
