These activities<br>supported participants’ overall well-being by<br>fostering a sense of community among families<br>with shared interests in Hungarian cultural<br>heritage and folk traditions.<br>Throughout the year, we organised a range of<br>cultural and community events, including National<br>Holiday celebrations (Revolution and<br>Independence Day), a Christmas event, Carnival,|





||Mother’s Day, Children’s Day, St Nicholas Day,<br>and various day trips.<br>The school was pleased to host several guest<br>contributors during the year. Péter and Viktória<br>Utasi led engaging Hungarian folk dance<br>sessions, while Dr Judit Navracsics delivered an<br>informative lecture for parents on raising bilingual<br>children. In addition, the HubArt art group<br>presented an outstanding performance for our<br>pupils in celebration of International Children’s<br>Day.<br>During the 2024–25 academic year, the school<br>participated in the Hungarian Rákóczi<br>Association’s Diaspora Programme. Seventeen<br>students aged 10–15, accompanied by three<br>teachers, took part in a week-long camp in<br>Hungary. The programme offers Hungarian<br>young people living in the diaspora, as well as<br>educators working within diaspora communities,<br>the opportunity to participate in an educational<br>study trip to Hungary.<br>**The objectives of the programme include:**<br>●<br>Introducing participants to the traditions<br>and built heritage that shape Hungarian<br>history and culture in the Carpathian<br>Basin through experiential learning<br>activities.<br>●<br>Encouraging the development of<br>relationships between Hungarian youth<br>living in the diaspora and those in the<br>Carpathian Basin, while strengthening<br>their sense of Hungarian identity.<br>●<br>Supporting the development of<br>Hungarian language skills with the<br>guidance of qualified professionals.<br>●<br>Strengthening connections between<br>Hungarians living in the diaspora and the<br>motherland by fostering new networks<br>and expanding cooperation across<br>diaspora communities at a<br>pan-Hungarian level.<br>●<br>Enhancing the effectiveness of<br>knowledge transfer related to national<br>identity in the diaspora, while enabling<br>participants to gain first-hand experience<br>in Hungary and broaden their intellectual,<br>cultural, and methodological<br>understanding.|

|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|The charity fulfilled its objectives by delivering<br>regular education in the Hungarian language, folk<br>songs, dance, literature, history, and traditional<br>arts and crafts to children aged 0–18, as well as<br>to adults. During the 2024-25 academic year, the<br>semester was held at the Church of England<br>Primary School in Send, Woking.<br>To ensure inclusivity, members experiencing<br>financial or other disadvantages were able to<br>participate in activities free of charge or at a<br>reduced cost, ensuring that events remained<br>accessible to all. In addition, the charity provided<br>support and advice to individuals in need and<br>promoted personal development and<br>employability through volunteering opportunities<br>and coaching.<br>The year was a particularly active one for<br>Hungarian School Woking, with approximately<br>150 participants engaged in regular sessions,<br>organised day trips, and open events for children<br>and their families.|

I report in respect of my examination of  the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
