provide Hungarian language and cultural
education for children who live in Woking and the
surrounding areas for the benefit of the public. As
a supplementary school, the weekend activities
will be based on a planned timetable and led by
teachers andvolunteers.

The structure of the school-year remained 2
semesters with 9 meetings in each semester.
The school started on 10th of September 2022. It
was advertised on the School’s Facebook page
and on many Hungarian related Facebook pages.
We provided local families a regular opportunity
to meet and practice the Hungarian language at
C of E Primary School in Send, Woking,
contributing to their general well-being as a
member of a community with similar interests in
their cultural heritage and folklore traditions. We
organised National Holiday (Revolution and
Independence Day), Christmas event, Carnaval,
Mother’s Day, Childrens' day, day trips and
tradition St Nicholas day.

In the 2022-2023 academic year we started the
semester at a venue, C of E Primary School in
Send, Woking.
Members with financial or other disadvantages
can participate in activities free or at reduced
price to ensure events are open to all. The charity
also provides support and advice for people in
need and aids personal development and
employability through volunteering opportunities
and coaching.
The functional year had been a busy one for the
Hungarian School Woking, with about 120
participants taking part in our regular activities as
well as organised day trips, open events for
children and their families.

in place and monitoring spendings, even with
increased renting price of renting venues,
from the membership fees we managed to
get through these difficult times having some
reserves at the end of the 2022-23 period.
