Para 1.20 | Chasing Rainbow’s Father’s Day campaign highlighted the need to support men going through pregnancy loss. The reach and feedback from this campaign has been substantial. Chasing Rainbows has been involved with lots of media campaigning both radio and tv and newspapers to help build awareness that miscarriage and pregnancy loss matters. Chasing Rainbows has created display boards, ofering information and support in hospitals in the North and East Riding of Yorkshire A summary of the main charity achievements are; acting as a voice for women being patient representatives ensuring professionals hear real life experiences are are challenged in a proactive way to improve care. Empowering women to be their own advocate leading to change in their care with professionals working within womens health and also general practitioners. Giving confdence to women to share their story in a safe environment without fear of judgement or negativity has a profound impact on their mental health. Providing a safe space for women to feel they can acknowledge their grief through peer therapy being facilitated. |
