We were txtsy fmm early in 2024 when arn[￿85t ot￿1 thing5 we upgraded the kitchen area.
k)stalled a nÉw bc4ler and Hlve ￿teffl. a new Flre afvj Securty $￿ern and made ￿jge
pro8ress ￿ the Secret Garden. prolect. as as revknln8 our bookthry w(Kesses Ind

DUMB Spfin8 2024 saw steady Nmbers at the Warm Hub, aknng With similar i
Green Thefaw: a gr￿P funded and led by Forest of Hearts who. SIn￿ belry awarded the
£￿traCt. taken on att(Mn￿thshed a large arn￿nt on the Secret Garden,. We also
took the opportunity to wcxk with them to tKly the paths and planters leadi￿1 up to the
bullOln8.
We worked on Ouf Volurteer Polky. wilh help from Rachel and Karen at CAV& and
prod￿ed a handtthk that we sh¥ed wrth a new ￿lunteer ￿ had apwOX￿ us to try
oirt a Le80 dub. Initially it proved very popular, with support from Trustees to the
session5, Saturday aftemorm was best time available withln cMJr ￿gUlar bookin8&
h(Me¥er this sk)t may been a barner to contsnued success. It was chosen to pause the
se55ion5 over the 5ch¢)ol holiday5 With a view to W0￿￿tIng and relaunthir¥a in the Autu￿￿.
Unf¢xtunalely. Ihe volunteer was urth to lead the sessi￿5 and. without wffKient
resource. it didn't continue.
Simon, the Landlord at the Squirrel a great suppcKter of the commuNty and our
Community Centre sadly died early in the summer. We are grateful to his parents VAK)
generously d(mated proceeds from the collettion at his fuwal to BCC. This. alon8 wrth
donatlons received fdltr*in8 the passkn8 of C¢)mmunlty members who have been a part of
the WRAP Café held here every Friday. will be wi t(r*ards a memorial area In the garden.
A number of community e￿￿ntS were planned and held to get input f(x. and ultimately to
open. the garden. Hi8hli8hts include(l a vlsit from wr then Deputy Mayor Dani Hunter vkno
chose the wnnlng children's de4ns for our new mural and further SUB8￿1n8 how these
might be comts'ned. The Mural was conwleted and. durin8 a w￿kShOp led ty Ali Glover
from Paint Stratfofd. knspirat#)nal & importaffl words were chosen and added to the mural.
An¢Xher event was for Mlke Strophalrfs rfiren)eni. the f￿fider of WRAP and one of the
itiators of the garden proRrt.. Manuela p￿e@hellO. our MP. Joined f￿ this cel**ation

leave a legacy by the openlng of the community notlceboards lo keep everyone apprlsed of
events and support in our areas. These were alrrrf>st immediately effects.ve with ￿tsce5 trom
each area 8ewatin8 interest in Ihe other.
As the Autumn began the studerrts from the Wekombe Hills hub were not able to us at
the Monday sesslons as they had before the holidays. A dlsappolntin8 chaNde that 8reatty
reduced overall numbers arKI the energy once experbenced by all attending

uniform swap in collaborat￿￿ with the T￿n Trust C(￿nmunItY Hub. Shakespeare LN)ns have

wekorne fr*nds from support organisatsons.
The Community Builder proiert is at)out half way thru*h ltrs current IteratiC￿ and we
(￿linUe to w￿k with Ken Kennett. Stratlord District Council. Stratford Town Trust and the
Town Council lo ensure it meels the needsol our communities.
Another communlty de¥tlopment project Is prOgre￿Ing from earty meetlnes. and wlth
support and guklance from Chris Freeman èt CAVA. this project is now in the stage where
funding applicab.ons awe being written to submit wi 2026. This proJecL rf funding applications

We were grateful to receive funding Ir(xn Stratfofd Town Trust to improve our mobility
access and tollets. Thls prolect stalled due to complutKms t￿t thanks to flexibility from tr
Trust we are movir4 forward with this. Watch this space.
Followi￿ the'stratford Centres Togetherf meetings, some much needed buildin8s, fire &
security expertise were 8f4en to us land Bratefully received) ty Richard at the Town Trust.
We sent an e-mail to BishoptM Primary School next door lo request a meelin8 to dlscuss
the Fire access. This 'discussion' has sirKe grot*m legs and became about Ihe surtability ol
the existing Fire Door not our original c¢)fflments.
WItlKMrt 80in8 into the details of this we are pleased that a rneeting has been convened bv
Warwickshlre cr￿nty C￿ncIl and will take place in December to br1￿ varlous part*s
together with a view to finding a resoluti￿. We are grateful for ongoing support fr(Mn the

Durln8 2025 our resilien￿ as a ynan CIO has been tested. The 'threaf to ary small group of
volunteers is alway5 their own resources. We have eKh laced personal challenges that have
uftimately effected abilities to fulfil our I￿801￿4 responsibilitiVJ.
