## **Structure, Governance and Management** 

The charity is governed by its Trust Deed/Constitution. Trustees are appointed in accordance with the governing document. 

The trustees are responsible for the overall direction and control of the charity and meet as required to review activities, finances, and future plans. New trustees receive appropriate information and guidance to enable them to carry out their duties effectively. 

## **Objectives and Activities** 

The charity’s objects are: 

The relief of sickness and the preservation of health throughout the world, primarily (but not exclusively) by providing grants towards medical equipment, appropriate medicine, training and research in order to facilitate and provide patients with better care opportunities and accessibility due to their inability to afford those treatments. 

During the year, the trustees reviewed the charity’s activities to ensure they continued to support these objectives and complied with the Charity Commission’s public benefit guidance. 

## **Public Benefit** 

The trustees confirm that they have had due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit. The charity seeks to provide public benefit by supporting initiatives that improve access to healthcare and medical resources for individuals and communities who are unable to afford necessary treatment. 

## **Achievements and Performance** 

During the year, the charity focused on its core purpose by: 

   - Providing grants to support access to medical equipment and/or treatment 

   - Supporting healthcare-related activities aligned with the charity’s objectives 

- Ensuring funds were applied responsibly and in line with charitable purposes 

- Given the size of the charity, activities were carried out on a modest scale and managed directly by the trustees. 

## **Reserves Policy** 

The trustees consider it appropriate to hold limited reserves to ensure the charity can meet its obligations and respond to future funding opportunities. Reserves are kept under regular review. Plans for Future Periods 

In the coming year, the trustees intend to: 

- Continue providing grants in line with the charity’s objectives 

- Seek additional funding where appropriate 

- Maintain strong governance and financial oversight 

## **Trustees’ Responsibilities** 

The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees’ Annual Report and financial statements in accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom accounting standards.
