## Introduction 

The Silent Horn Foundation is a charity still in it’s infancy. Despite this, we have reached a few milestones which we shall outline and give full clarity on what the charity has done in it’s mission with full transparency for funders and those in support of our work. 

## Our aims 

Our intention is to raise the funds and build the team necessary to implement sustainable team and operations structure. We wish to do this so that we can direct well managed efforts towards serving Deaf people. Our immediate interests are in creating materials for Somali sign language edition and running events to build a community support network around our Deaf Somali community in the UK. 

## Activities 

The majority of our operations and efforts in this period have been administrative. We have been ensuring we are working in line with the legal guidelines and that we have clear founding documentation. 

Further, we have made progress in establishing our foundational resources for our charity efforts. 

Firstly, we have successfully opened our bank account with CAF Bank and registered two of our trustees as signatories for full transparency. Further, we made an initial donation of £200 to cover any initial costs and so we are ready to receive funds. 

We have also set up our official charity website TheSilentHornFoundation.org which outlines clear details of our story, our mission and opportunities to donate to our work, both via bank transfer and our Paypal charity account.

16/6/2022 Received initial donation. 

23/10/2022 Launched our website - TheSilentHornFoundation.org 

## Finances 

We have received a donation of £200, of which £46 was used on operating costs during this period. 

## Structure 

The organisation consisted of 6 trustees during the given reporting period. 

Samira Duale - Chair and founder. She is also the name on the bank account.
