**Objects:** 1.1 THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT:1.1.1 TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF DEAF AND HARD OF HEARING PEOPLE, IN THE HORN OF AFRICA AND IN THE UK, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY PROVIDING RESOURCES FOR USE IN SCHOOLS, INCLUDING EQUIPMENT, HEARING AIDS AND SPEECH-TO-TEXT AIDS AND DELIVERING SIGN LANGUAGE; AND1.1.2 TO RELIEVE NEED, INCLUDING FINANCIAL HARDSHIP, AMONG DEAF AND HARD OF HEARING PEOPLE, IN THE HORN OF AFRICA AND IN THE UK, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY PROVIDING SIGN LANGUAGE SUPPORT AND EMPLOYABILITY TRAINING.1.2 THE "HORN OF AFRICA" COMPRISES SOMALIA, DJIBOUTI, ETHIOPIA, KENYA AND ERITREA.

**Activities:** The Silent Horn Foundation raises funds both online and in the UK for people who are Deaf and Hard of hearing with a  focus on supporting the most vulnerable communities in the Horn of Africa.
