Principal aclivities The Counties Heritage Foundation crmlinued lo focus on its mission to conserve arts and heritagp. In the four East Midlancj counties of Rulland. Northamptonshire. Leice5tershlre and Llntonlstiire. It held a series ol fundraising events to enable it to awaro grants towards its current projects. In the field of conservation education. it awarded student burs81ies lo three MA conservation sluuenls from Lincoln University The bursaries allowed the students to have in-depth work experience by being mentored at The National Trust Conservalion Studio. based al Knole in Kent. One student. Alice Meier, then landed her first job as object consetwaior with 8ergen Museum In Norway. Other local projecis, namely ihe future conservation ol rare medieval drawings at Sl Andrew's Church, Ctoke Dry in Rulland and the pre-relormalion stain glass in Wilhcole Chapel.
