Diabetes education centre trustees

annual report for consideration at board meeting Last board meeting of trustees was held on Thursday 23rd Jan 2020. Due to COVID pandemic no further face to face board meetings have been possible due to government restrictions. However trustees have been in contact by email and telephone, to conduct the charity‘s business which is summarised below. On submitting the most up to date financial data to the charity commission it had become apparent that the business reserve account had been made dormant by NatWest. Post coming into the centre has not reached the recipients easily. Dr Fleming and Patsy Hughes ( current signatories) made an application to NatWest to close the business reserve account and transfer this to current account. Mr Justin Day re-submitted the CIO application on 6 March 2020. Charity Commission informed the trustees that the new application to form a CIO had been successful. The Cornwall Diabetes Education Centre Trust. reg no. 1188766. Mr Day advised the trustees by email that we should

  2. Transfer the assets to the new charity 3. Dissolve the old charity (1000555) and inform the charity commission this has taken place. Due to COVID restrictions the trustees were unable to have a face to face board meeting . However it was agreed unanimously by email and telephone on 12 June 2020 to Close the old charity (1000555);and transfer all the assets ( cash only) to the new charity 1188766. To give a donation of £250 to St Petrocs charity in recognition of the huge amount of work Justin had put in on our behalf . Dr fleming would also source a suitable personal gift. To keep in contact by electronic means during the current pandemic. October 21 , 2020. The old charity (1000555) was formally dissolved by charities commission.

Financial: the dormant reserve account was realised and assets transferred to current account on 8 Sept 2020. £20,500.44 plus £50.49 interest. As of 30 Sept 2020. Assets of charity are £134,850.44 Annual update is due on 31 March 2021.
