## **Objects** 

The objects of the CIO are the relief of those in need, by reason of youth, age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantages, by: 

Delivering essential aids supplies to worldwide destinations. 

Making grants to alleviate hardship for those employed in large vehicle road transport services, their partners and dependence, in the UK. 

Nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the CIO for the purposes that are not charitable in accordance with [section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) act 2005] and [section 2 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008].

## **Appointment of Charity Trustee** 

- (1) Apart from the first charity trustees, every trustee must be appointed for a term of 3 years by a resolution past at a properly convened meeting of the Charity Trustees. 

- (2) In selecting individuals for appointment as Charity trustees the charity trustees must have regard of the skills, knowledge and experience needed for the effective administration. 

## **Information for new Charity trustees** 



The charity trustees will make available to each new charity trustee, on or before his or her first appointment: 

- (a) A copy of the current version Of the constitution; and 

(b) A copy of the CIO’s latest trustees Annual Report and statement of accounts. 

## **Raising Funds** 

To raise funds for the charity of Globe truckers UK. This is achieved by the following but not limited to, fundraising, corporate sponsorship, payroll giving and attending events such as truck shows. 

## **Finances** 

Our annual financial report has been included in the annual financial report section. 

## **Charity Public Benefit** 

The charity’s aims and objectives are as stated above.Being a new charity we are yet to make our first grant however we are working in partnership with CFG Law who are specialists in serious injury lawyers who advise legal advice. We have also partnered up with Free Wills who are offering free will writing to anyone who is interested.
