The Melissa Bell Foundation successfully reinstated its annual fundraising gala in March 2022, marking its first return since 2019.
This event was a significant milestone, reconnecting key guests, supporters, and beneficiaries in person while also engaging a wider audience through social media.
Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)
With restrictions lifted, the foundation focused on planning future events to further its mission and expand its impact. A key achievement was awarding six summer 2022 scholarships to the Sylvia Young Theatre School, an increase from the four awarded in 2021. This growth highlights our strengthened relationships and expanding capacity to support young people in the performing arts.
